I've seen this man wrestle in front of some of the nerdiest fans in pro wrestling history, but this is the first time I've seen fans throw bread into the ring for Kojima-san.
When he went on a US tour a few years ago he decided to do some tweets in English to connect with us fans and he ended up putting out a tweet about how much he loves bread and how great it is. So ofc the fans deemed Kojima fans as bread club
Even in his AJPW days, Kojima liked bread but he didn't make it a gimmick. I remember some off the cuff interview on a tripod site where he talked about his personal life. He liked visiting bakeries while on the road, also liking bread because the carbs helped him stay big but lean enough, while also not getting unhealthy like fast food (what happened with Ahmed Johnson and later Dr. Death). I remember Kojima was also a proud dad with his daughter.
