I remember when I met kokane in Bakersfield, Ca I think back in 09 or 08 (somewhere around that time) he was with pimpin Ken and a lot of other people. This is when live wire had a station in my city. And a lot of the local artists were there. Then later on we all did a show downtown and I seen kokane preform. It was a hella dope.
Dope ass video!! It's great to see new music from old school rappers from L.A (Pomona) and New York (Brooklyn). It all started in NYC and it spread like wildfire throughout the US and worldwide. A song that is paying homage to the pioneers. Salute 💯💯💯💯

@@columbusohio72 So when I went to LA from Australia in 2016 was I expecting to see ragtop impala's cruising around everywhere on 3 or gas hopping regal's & towncar's down the street? 🤣 No... I know dam well you haven't been to Australia cause there's fuck all mini coopers in Australia mostly LS powered Holden's, you'd know cause you've been to Australia right? By the way my Caddy is right hand drive 😊 Good day sir.
Thanks Kokane & Kool Rock Ski for this late summer BANGERRR. The 1st hearing of the chorus made me laugh. I my self give this ***** for the message/for the rhythm & flow & the banging beat. Hope this is part of a new lp. from you both. I was bless to get to hear the early stages of hip hop thru today where i'm from MN. Hip hop gave me such great memories of the late 70's thru the late 90's Like: Roller stating to the classics, had skating skillz & skates/The boom box era had the 12 D battery killer boom box./dancin' at the house parties & clubs with no shootings. And finally DJing at house parties & other kind of events + The clubs. In these era's in Mn we were a melting pot of music we didn't take no sides when it came to hip hop we listen/played it all no mater if it came from the East/West/north or south as long as the beats were banging & the lyric were tight it was played here. As a music junky/collector/dj. I kept to this way until Lil Wayne 3rd lp. of auto tune + his saturation of it & became the norm + the mumble music i my self don't have it in my library of music . Prince was a Major help in hip hop too in Mn. When he created the Club Glam Slam his DJ. was a underground DJ & i was bless to work with him & spin with him. Prince gave us DJs total freedom to spin what we wanted to spin as long as we put some of his music in the mix. We played it all that was dance-able from the 70's thru the 90's/many genre's of music in a nite a good chunk was hip hop. Man it was so fun messing with the club goers & keep them on the toes with the music we were throwing at them especially the new music that most never herd. From the 1st day to the end of the club era on the weekend the club was packed. From MN. club goes to: from ppl.of other states & countries/celebrities/recording artists/sport players & others to came to the club. But the 1st to play hip hop in the in the club in MN was 1st. Avenue then others follow suit. The sad thing was when the beat down & the shootings became a thing in & out of the clubs in the 2k it also became a thing also in downtown M.P.L.S. it killed the hip hop club seen, the clubs that are around became top 40 with radio dj.s. + downtown M.P.L.S. became a camera town with a new cop shop & you see cops walking/cops on bicycles on horses & so on. The last time i was Downtown m.p.l.s was in 03' at a sm. venue to see a local artist. The only club i think still playing hip hop still is 1st Ave. What so messed up is the fun & the music freedom we had in late 70;s thru. 90's in the clubs is no more in the state of Mn. A great era by.
This is lit up homie, gave me goosebumps and I'm grown, loved seeing kool rocski just a cipher on these young nuccas one time though, with the cameo by Treach, Naughty by Nature, what the he'll is a Da Baby, or NBA younboy, gtfoh, on COMPTON, watch out
