This is my last trip for Kokanee in 2024 as I won't get a chance to go up again before they run up the river in a few weeks. Caught really nice Lake Trout and lots of Kokanee.
@@ronmodafferi8202 yeah. On this trip I caught two Macs on the troll with Kokanee gear. Last year I caught bigger ones with the same. I didn’t camp in Emerald, I just paddled there from a public beach. At kayak speed it takes like 30-40 min.
@@ronmodafferi8202 in the winter I troll around cave rock for Mac’s, bows and browns with lures and spoons. On this trip I was really just trying to catch the last of the Kokanee before they spawn. As the weather cools the Big Macs will start coming in shallow to feed.
@@SuperYakFishing There's a city ramp on the north west side of Donner or there's beaches in the State Park. Shaun's guide service has some videos on fishing Donner.
