This lake is one of the most beautiful locations in Washington State. Particularly considering it is in the heart of a residential community of million dollar homes.

Hi Gene, my offer to be your net man still stands 😁 Awesome, fun video! I found that upgrading the hook on those kokanee king lures to a #4 or #2 dropshot on a barrel swivel makes a huge difference, especially on those that love to frantically twist...that tiny factory siwash is junk on the bigger kokanee. Great video showing the realistic struggle of fishing alone 😉

I can struggle just as much in the presence of others. 😆 I did switch out all my hooks on the hoochies to wide gap. Should help.

@Northwestfishingfanatics kokanee find a way of making us look like newbies often... good stuff brother...I second the guy about trolling speed, I never go over 1.2 in Merwin or Wallowa and seldom get trout.

@@dougsparks66 I've never caught a Trout on Merwin. American has ten times more Trout than Kokanee.

Yeah, I've fished Merwin for 50 years and got tons of trout in the 80s and 90s on f4 flatfish with chunk of nightcrawler behind a cowbell. Merwin used to have native cuts and rainbow 40+ years ago but the lake changed when St Helen's erupted and dumped ash in it
