basically in danganronpa 2 Mikan and Nagito got close so when they found out it was all vr (virtual reality) they became closer (really close) and formed a sister/brother relationship Mikan went into danganronpa v3 as Kokichi to be the "villain" because when making the profiles for the characters they never put one as the main antagonist so Mikan offered to help the reason (if you haven't watched the whole video do that now) Mikan suddenly changed to Kokichi (personality wise) when Kiibo asked for the secret was because Mikan/Kokichi developed feelings for him (accidentally) i also wanted to add some lesbian into it so Kokichi/Mikan is bisexual and has a crush on Tenko,Angie,Himiko,Kiibo, and for some ✨spice✨ Tsumugi now i don't actually ship them with Kokichi but for this series (yes it will be one) i will make it like that (only one i actually ship with Kokichi is Kiibo) the reason why Mikan opened up (forcefully) was because the game ended normally (basically threw out the whole game was cannon) that's basically my au if you have any questions comment them and I'll answer
