Bro?? Omg How do you drop a masterpiece like it was nothing? 🤨 Since I started to be interested in semi realism i became obsessed with your art, you are the best semi realism artist that i have seen in years!! I wanted to ask if you could make a video giving some tips or tutorials on how you developed your unique style. Sorry for the inconvenience 😅, but I really want to get better at drawing characters in a more realistic way and your drawings are so beautiful 😭 Also, sorry my bad english,is not my first language (is portuguese by the way haha)

No problem, my English is also not the best (German is my first ^^, i've been once to Portugal btw. : ) So first of all, thank you for the praise althought I have the strong believe there are so many great and even better artists ^^; but I really appreciate your words. I do have actually a couple of tutorials in which I either describe my brush a bit, how to paint and a bit of deciding which colours to choose and also some tutorials about the work flow and how I use references in a way that aren't just a plain copy of some existing picture. I don't have a tutorial on how I developed my art style of course (never gave it an important thought haha). Guess it's a long process of a couple of years painting digitally, getting comfortable with your hard and software and lot of try and error. MAYBE the work flow and painting technique tutorial could help you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hwmSTniAAsI.htmlsi=7dmLMlLV5YEB5DF5 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gV_ztHAVjZI.htmlsi=l2GXZOwLwo4OwZH2 I have other tutorials, too, so maybe it's worth to try them out. In case they are useless for your question, I try do a new which explaines the process of where I am rn better : )

@@akujumbi9335 Thank you for recommending your tutorials, your teaching is very good and your technique is very easy to incorporate into my current one (technique improvement). I think the most complicated thing is structuring faces and making them "pretty" and compatible with the original characters (or ref). That's why I like your art so much haha German is a really cool language!! I'm actually Brazilian hahaha (we're the coolest Portuguese cousins 😎).

@@vesperidona Brazilian! Well, I wasn't there yet haha The face structure problem, mhm, mhm, know it tooooo well! xD It sounds maybe discouraging but it takes some time to learn how to draw "pretty" faces (and by pretty there might be actually two categories, "pretty" pretty when you want a character to look hot or like some kind of dreamy super model category or "pretty" but with flaws in the facial structure but flaws which still make the face look somehow interesting/"making sense", for example the nose a bit too big or too small or the eyes lazy, mouth maybe too thin for aesthetical standards.) So when I structure a face I don't have a finished recipe in my mind but start to paint randomly, slowly, slowly sculpting it, trying out what can work, what looks harmonic, what looks interesting and so on. Then when you paint fanart you need to compare it with the original; in some characters I take a bit of liberty, streching the signature look, in some I stay a bit closer. Some Anime character do have unique designs, then it's a bit easier to paint them, finding facial structure you can actually "repaint", some look more plain, then you can take more liberty. So the most discouraging about painting pretty faces (either pretty aesthetically or pretty in "making sense") is that your eyes just slowly get used to your own ability to recognize pretty. I am sure you look at a painting and think, WOW, now THATS the most, best, perfect face I painted so far, can't get better!.... One year later you look at said picture and think... christ, what did I paint that time, it looks horrible! hahaha ^^ So yeah, your eyes slowly advance in making the paintings better, unfortunately it takes time and practice, practice, practice
