That is what God's love is all about, it is in this our generation that we discriminate and fight for God even when the traditional worshiper's heart is more clean than some Christians
Kola oyewo ' s wife died some years ago . Very good woman . She was until her death a staff of the Faculty of Law OAU . Good mother . May her soul rest in peace . These two old men deserve our respect and Love .
The part I like the most about this interview is the honesty and integrity of Kola Oyewo in describing his condition and treatment in vivid details. This is very educative for views. Usually, Nigerian celebrities just gloss over their illness. Also I love and love the great friendship between Peter and Kola. May God Almighty keep both of them in excellent health for long. Kudos to Kunle for these interviews.
Mr kunle Afod I am short of words. U are a rare gem. God bless you. I am really touched by his story. Truly it so emotional. God continue to bless you and your entire crew and family too
This is so pleasing to watch. 51yrs... emulable generation... A Christian having an herbalist as his best friend for 51yrs... Religion is not our problem... we are the problems of ourselves... long life movie vetrans ❤❤❤
What he has is BPH benign prostatic hypertrophy also known as enlarged prostate. He can come to America and get a Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) or use these very medications to reduce the size of his prostate which is blocking the passage of his urine from coming out: Tamsulosin, Prazosin, Doxazosin. He definitely doesnt need to have a catheter stuck to himself like this all the time because he runs a risk of recurrent bladder and kidney infections with the catheter continuously in him. Oh my country Nigeria continuously failing our people. If he comes here, itll get taken care of asap or even south Africa or UK. God bless this man.
These care can be assessed in Nigeria as well… healthcare in Nigeria is not entirely bad… Some decent hospitals (private and public) still offer excellent healthcare, at a cost tho.
He had a very traumatic experience. There are lots of retrogression in medical practice in Nigeria. Private hospitals should know their limitations and encourage the use of newer techniques and CME. What he described was how prostate enlargement was handled about 30 years ago but things have changed with introduction of medical treatment and transurethral options. The clinic should have relieved him of urinary retention and refer him to the teaching hospital in Ife or Ibadan. I believe there are centers in Ibadan or Lagos that can manage his case conservatively and schedule him for transurethral procedure. He had anaemia & his orchiectomy. Those are pointers to malignant transformation. I wish Baba long and healthy life. His children should search out for better centers for him to see another urologist.
@@GeoDisNet123 True! Every hospital should know when to refer. Indwelling catheter is becoming obsolete. There’s only a handful of treatment or surgery you can’t have in Nigeria. But our primary and secondary healthcare are not signposting patients properly. Baba needs to see a proper Urologist in a tertiary healthcare setting, to discuss the definitive management, then let his colleagues know is he would be needing crowd funding to cover the cost.
@He2New there was a Nigerian politician man that they gave the wrong diagnosis and were treating him for the wrong problem like 5yrs ago. His cousin gave him my number and one day I heard a knock on my door. As soon as I laid my eyes on him, I knew he was terribly sick looking gaunt & jaundiced from eyes to palms, I started diagnosing him immediately lol 😆. I took him to my hospital, he got admitted, we ran tests and started treating him for his liver condition. Long story short, after 5days in the hospital he looked like a new man and was discharged on the 6th day. My only regret was that he had no health insurance in America since he's not a citizen, so his cousin had to shoulder most of his hospital bills. I still have his before and after pictures on my phone. I left Nigeria at a young age and from what pple tell me, & from what im seeing on different youtube videos, we've only made minimal progress/improvements. There are a lot of Nigerian urologists here and in the UK, hopefully, someone can help him cos pulling that catheter around has gotta be discomforting.
Dear Mr. Kunle Afod, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for your excellent work in supporting our veteran Nollywood actors and actresses. I would like to bring to your attention the importance of early screening for prostate examination. According to the American Cancer Society, men should begin screening at the age of 50. However, for African or African American men, it is recommended to start screening at the age of 45 and continue for three to five years. I believe that spreading awareness about this campaign can help prevent prostate cancer and ensure early detection. I kindly request that you use your platform to help spread the message. Prevention is always better than cure. Thank you for your time and effort. May God bless you and your team.🙏🙏😍
This two great legends deserve our assistance . They must be assisted to get well and live well . They served mankind honestly . They are true role models that helped raised the moral standard of the community. Scandal free , contented , dematerialized , patriotic and honestly dedicated to their profession. My respect for both . My fear is always how can one survive if the other should go to meet the Lord . I am yet to see a friendship as close . Even that of David and Jonathan can't compare .
As an 100 level student of ekiti state university, I saw Baba lecturing in one of the lecture theatres, I ran back to take a closer look, and I was like 😮😮 OMG celebrity in my school 😂 immediately I called my mom, I was shouting on the phone mummy I just saw Kola Oyewo. I stood for minutes looking at him, And watched how students enjoyed his class. I had it in my plans to approach him and take a selfie, but I suddenly stop seeing him when I got to 200l. Not knowing this was it. Ema pe laye sir, Ko si iku loju yin nisin. You will live to see more good things in life. Love you sir❤❤❤❤
This old educated people makes us the young one feel like we only went to have fun at school....see the way he kept everything on records and detailing the dates of events and all without any help from google calender omo x 10000000000....watching him speaks gives me joy and i pray God keeps him healthy and grant him long life in more good shape than he is currently 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
51 years of friendship..... their generation is surely blessed... no more true friends today!!! may God keep all our parents and preserve them in good health. Amen AFOD; i love you more egbon... blessing
Hmmmm..... Prof Kola oyewo was my friend while in OAU, yes my friend. Though I was a student but he called me his friend, I wanted to join the movie industry but he adviced me not to. Funny enough , he never saw me face to face we only talked on phone but I saw him almost everyday, greeted him severally but didn't know it was me. Someone shared his number with me and he became my big daddy , few years later I lost his line. Long live you sir
I lost my dad last year to prostate enlargement, later diagnosed of prostate cancer, watching this bring back memories, but am happy is in a better place, it's very important for men at their early 40 to go for prostate examination
51 years of friendship between 2 men of divers believes. I celebrate your lives legends. It gets clearer to me that humanity is the best and the only religion. Thank you, Mr Afod.
Bro Kunle, you are doing an amazing job. Thanks for keeping the memory of these great and legendary men alive in our minds. How can we be a blessing to these people.
51years friendship of different religions says a lot for us to learn from…the details of all that happened shows how intelligent Baba Kola Oyewo is…I wish him and Baba Peter good and sound long lives
Kunle Afod , only God can reward you and May the good Lord continue to bless the works of your hands and be with your household for bringing and remembering all veterans . I am really short of words . God bless you and May the good Lord continue to strengthen Dr. kola Oyewo
Kudo to you Kunle Afolabi . Thank you. Handled by OAUTHC,Ile Ife Urologists doing private practice, the job looks quarkry though. Please help Dr kola Oyewo to look for a well equipped Modern day Urology Hospital where Dr K can be fully helped to enjoy his life better than the present state he is enduring. Dr Kola's condition could be much much better if he could be assisted to be handled by Urologists with modern day hi tech facilities. Thanks.
I was going to say that. Modern technology has gone beyond this and very available in Nigeria. I don't know the policy around advert on this page but I know a top notch one in Victoria Island, Lagos (I work for a foremost company in Nigeria setting up hospitals with high-grade medical equipment that you can find ANYWHERE in the world). I was part of the setup, so I know their claim is 100% true (There are PLENTY of CHARLARTANS in the space as you can guess, so beware) The procedure can be less invasive (i.e. no open cut). Also, he is susceptible to infections with the kind of tacky solution and Sepsis for a gereatric may be a death sentence. He deserves a better quality of life than these. Oluwa a fun won l'emi gigun.
Honestly i got to an extent that I couldn't continue listening to daddy Kola Oyewo's pathetic experience. Honestly I really pity him. May God Almighty comfort and console him
Watching this makes me very emotional and triggered my PTSD from catheter blockage + pain. I dont wish the pain on my worst enemies. That test he talked about....when it comes to anything urinary, the tests are always extremely painful... excruciating, even. I pray he gets proper healthcare and he's able to do away with the catheter.
Sending my love to Daddy Kola Oyewo and his bosom friend. I shed a tear watching this. Also, he is still hardworking and not ready to surrender to the shackles of sickness, I love you so much, Sir Because of you, I have no excuse to not giving life my best shot. Thank you, Uncle Afod.❤

Sincerely don't know what to type... so so emotional! I salute baba's ingenuity, originality and confidence especially in reeling his prostrate experience. This beyond interview is also a life saver for many as they'd know how to handle prostrate if they have it. May God heal mama Oyewo! God BLESS the veterans. God BLESS kunle Afod
I dont know what to say, watching alone made me cry, please it time for our father and young men to start eating lots of pumpkin seed and water melon seed and also add saw palmetto supplement or tea to their daily diet. prevention is better than cure . Olorun afun yin ni alafia ni abgara olorun Amin.
I so much thank God for the life of these legendary actors, contentment is written all over their lives. Egbon Afod good work sir, I have been your fan since the days of Jakande Estate, Nepa Junction. Much love baba
So sorry to hear this. If he had been flown abroad, he would have gotten a far better medical treatment. It’s so disheartening that simple medical procedures turned to nightmare.
What a touching story. He’s indeed a fighter. God please perfect his healing and preserve these two legends for us . May both friends live to good, full, ripe age in good health and wealth.🙏🏾
Well-done Uncle Afod. May God continue to blss you and also grant our veterans good health. Amen. I learnt something from this. Is better to check ourselves health wise when we're young before it degenerates when we're older.🎉
I am so glad you consider great artists in ile ife in your lifetime project. Surely, you have done what no one has in terms of touching lives pleasantly. God bless You Baba Afod.

These men would have a lot of stories to tell that one would listen for weeks if not months just enjoying what they have to say. God bless them and keep them.
I am subscribing to your channel because of Pa Kola Oyewo episode. I am also going to ensure I go for a prostrate test this year because I am in my early 40s now. Thanks for the eye opener.❤
