My dad was admitted to R. G. Kar for heart attack and I was there with him. The CCU unit had bugs and cockroaches everywhere I stayed there for 15 days and since I couldn't sleep at night I would go on a stroll in the hospital. I was shocked to see that I had free access everywhere. The guards were either sleeping or drunk or not there. I even strolled inside OTs, students quarters, hostel premises, doctor quaters, even the morgue. The cameras were for show. Most of them were either not working or turned at a weird direction. Nobody stopped me despite me being a 26 year old outsider guy strolling there at 2am. I wasn't even trying to hide. This is the level of security in the hospital. Really saddened and ashamed by this incident.

I was on my 72hr shift when I heard her news and I was sitting alone in OPD it was 2am, there are no Doctors room to rest, this is the only place where I can sit for a while and still work, the entire floor was empty, I was updating patient files, so we discharge them at earliest and prevent hosp charges. I was going through few insurance papers so my patients can claim without facing loses. I have to rush between dark alley of building in case of emergency, the basement is shortest route, it also most dangerous route since no security or even something goes wrong nobody can hear your voice. The details how Brutally she was r*ped and murder*d while being on duty scares me. I can no longer work freely, Now I have to choose between my life and patients life who are in Emergency. The fact that I have to be aware of my surroundings even at my workplace which is supposed to be comfortable rather than delivering my knowledge is pathetic and Sad. I am a female Nursing officer in New delhi in a govt. Hospital , yesterday on duty even i have faced such rude and bad behaviour of patients attendants , what is our fault doing our duty honestly , they were just about to hit me , with this kind of behaviour who will do their jobs and nobody understand how long we wake up in night for these patients and their children , and they have problem in following hospital protocols and when someone tries to make them understand they will hit them . We have studied for 4-6 years to reach here did hardwork and this is what we are getting slaps .
People would have reacted & helped you from facing this issue. Only if your profession has respect outside. Medicine is a service, but i saw many doctors & nursing people getting irritated on poor people & illiterates. Why should I care a nurse or doctor if they don't respect their profession & people. I think it's not only in hospitals but everywhere womens are treated like this and we should raise our voice against the situation we are facing yes, we are indians but it doesn't mean that we don't deserve development and such behaviours at any place shouldn't be now tolerated by womens. Secondly: The police took responsibility and cremated the body of the girl. Thirdly: When the principal of RG Kar Hospital resigned, within 4 to 5 hours he was made the principal of another medical college. Fourthly: When the Calcutta High Court ordered a CBI probe, renovation work began in the seminar room next to the one where the female doctor was raped and murdered under police guard. Bro this is not just a r*pe case . The dr was collecting evidence to expose mafia because some illegal activities were happening there. . dr ug mafia kind of . The principal of college is involved because of him dr ugs of hospital were supplied outside. Dr protested against this one month ago but nothing happened and warnings were given. So for her safety shhe started collecting evidence secretly. But her colleague got to know about it. They shared it to tmkc unit which is involved in this .
The girl found out that drugs were being smuggled at that College, so she protested. As a result, the son of Trinamool leader Soumen Mahapatra was involved, and they are asking the girl's parents for a large sum of money to settle the case! Please tell everyone about this while there's still time

I'm a teenager from Uttarakhand with a similar case to tell yall. A nurse here was missing from a week. Her body was recently recovered from a vacant plot. Its said that she was on her way back home after a long shift when she was dragged to the plot where she was raped, strangled to death with her own clothes and had her jewellery, money and her mobile phone looted. This got no media coverage kyuki woh rape case important kaha jisme multiple log, ek iron rod aur ek moving bus involved nhi ho. India ke standards itne high hai ki rape toh ek maamuli si baat hogyi hai. The scariest bit is that i have to walk through that area every day to get to my coachings. I am now asked to stay at home, not attend classes till everything settles down. If I try to ask people about this case, they silence me, ask me to not talk about it, as if it's something tabooed, something that should never be said. Waise bhi I'm 'just a child who knows too much for her age' toh mujhe yeh sab jaane ki iccha nahi rakhni chahiye. Ek aur rape case hi toh tha, kal ek aur hoga...

As a teenager you are helpless. At least you mentioned it here. There may be so many such cases hidden or not known. I feel disgusted and sad thinking of how dirty our country is!! God alone knows how many more have to suffer each day like this? Why there’s no serious punishment for the culprits? How cruel are these people? Do they have a heart at all? Are they from abusive families? I am crying uncontrollably for the victims of rape, kidnap, acid attacks, human trafficking, child molest, sexually abused children by their own family members….. praying each and every day for these victims without fail.
