Hey Mr Lone Wolf, I do agree that it feels like some of the trucks have been nerfed in a way as I have found that the voron grad absolute drains fuel like it's tank has a hole in it, also my personal name for the navistar is snoop dogg with the amount of smoke it blows

Not tried the grad yet, but I think it used to be fine on fuel so maybe they have? Lol it’s certainly a smokey beast, I quite like it but I think it drives some people mad lol! Some outrolled exhausts would be nice though 👍🏻l
@@itsmrlonewolf Definitely something off. Ive gotten trucks bogged down I have NEVER bogged in low gear before. The Tayga, the Paystar, hell Ive just resorted to nothing hut 8x8s and The P12 for this opening map. Ive noticed that its especially bad on the 6x6s if Im trying to pull trailers through the mud. They seem to lose a LOT of power for some reason. More than usual. Maybe they tried upping weight idk.
It does seem like they slightly nerfed the power or gearboxes or something on a few of the more powerful/popular off-road class trucks, I've noticed on the ones I've driven that they don't want to go as fast in auto, and when on harsh terrain they constantly try to shift into second gear and then stop and shift back to first. Combined with the new enhancements and upgrades for some of the heavy class trucks in this update it makes me think they've done that to incentivize people to use the larger ones (other than the P16) more for the heavier cargos and special trailers.
Yeah something does seem a bit off, I think they may have fiddled with the gearbox or something, I’m pretty sure the advanced special gearbox used to motor along very nicely, but it did seem a bit gutless last night? They need to make the things they add better, if they have to nerf the stuff we already had, to make the new stuff worth it, then it’s not really worth it lol 👍🏻
Yeah there is a lot of things that have been added so it’ll give you plenty to do 👍🏻! Overall it’s a pretty good update and the maps seem more fun than imandra
I’ve been messing around with different trucks on the new maps I don’t think they nerfed old trucks just added harsh speed caps to the mud in certain areas The high in the high range gear box is faster than this cap So the Voron Grad with a lot of grip with muds and heavy off-road tires so it doesn’t have enough slip in the tires to keep it from stalling out But lighter trucks like the cat ct680 and bm17 have similar power but has less traction so the tires spin more allowing it to stay in high gear even if all trucks are traveling at the same speed
So basically they nerfed the heavy trucks for being heavy and good. All the trucks that are too light are ok until you touch the mud. Right? Why did they do that if they want people to use the kolobs more? Those things are really heavy.
Yeah I’m not completely sure yet, I remember when a similar thing happened with lake Kovd, but the advanced special did feel a bit weaker than usual when I was on black river? I’ve not tried the grad yet but it’s not good if that stalls in high, that thing used to be practically unstallable, I’ll have to give it a try 👍🏻
The missions take all day. I’ve gotten 5 done in a week. Take away a day for scouting and messing around. They take forever and most have 2 parts. It’s common for them to have a total of over 30 slots.
I've started them and it's the 'you need 10 cabins' nonsense given you need to find 20 timber, which is a PITA to get from the sawmill to the cabin building area. It's a bit of a grind single player with just a train of trucks... Indeed if there was ever a need for a road train, this was it! I'm just about done on that one then I notice the next needs 15 cabins... Joy.
@@geekmechanic1473 it’s not really that bad. It’s only laggy and broken if you leave cabins in the cabin area. You only have 8 packed cargo on your trailer at a time. Personally I used two Twinsteers for a few contracts. I just ran them back and fourth between pickup and delivery spots. I had the dolphin with a maintenance and lo4f on top kicking around to provide fuel and repairs when there wasn’t a trailer store near by.

For the short nose kolob which has always on diffs you're usually sitting in 1st gear auto anyways when hauling, especially that new 8 slot trailer, which makes the multipurpose one better because it's faster in 1st gear auto but idk myself. Not having that high gear... i'm not sure yet. But with the new suspension the short nose one is definitely better. Also you should switch to the MSH 3's, even the spare tire is telling you to :p
Yeah in certain situations I think it’ll be faster, but averaged out over a whole map or what I’ll be getting up to lol then yeah I don’t really want to let go of that high gear! It’s a shame they didn’t just give it the high gear too!
Yeah that’s true I did notice the fuel was a bit better 👍🏻! I don’t like losing the high gear though, I wish the advanced just had this as it’s auto set up!
I know it's off topic, but did you loose cargo that has fallen off a truck/trailer, after you recovered the vehicle? I was doin a main mission, tipped with the TwinSteer, recovered it and when I went to pick up the lost cargo, it wasn't there... I just lost 4 metal rolls 😐 And yes, I have the same feeling that they've cut the balls of some vechicles/ adv. Spec. gearbox...or is just the terrain again... Like the supersnow from Imandra 😁
I’ve not had that happen so far but I don’t think I’ve recovered anything on this map yet that’s had cargo on it, I had a feeling that kind of thing would happen, with the limited cargo thing it doesn’t help! I think some places have unlimited cargo, I hope anyway lol 👍🏻! Yeah I can’t work out if it’s some kind of terrain adjustment or if they’ve done something to the gearboxes or engines? Hopefully mods can sort that!
I love the active suspension on the warthog and tuz 16 as it stiffens them up a bit so they don't bounce all over as much lol it's def a great addition to the kalobs as well. As for the "multipurpose gear box"..I'm clueless as to what it's for 🤣🤣
It seems like it should have more auto gears. I think at least 6 would be good. There’s really no point in it. The advanced special will be faster in 95 percent of terrain because of the high gear and stuff. It’s good for a good ramming trailers and junk out of the way tho. The 74760 with it gets pretty speedy and dosent care about other trucks in its way.
I've noticed that they've changed the rev caps, tire grip, and DEF the damage. You could be going 2 mph, hit a rock and then get 5 damage. Also some small trees that you were able to run over before are brick walls. Oh, and winches also like you said before. I think the devs are trying to slow down the people who are trying to fly threw the game. Those fockers (devs) are giving me anxiety by slowing the game down. Next thing the devs are gonna do is nerf high gear to where you're not able to plow thru the mud.
Yeah I don’t really like what they’re doing with stuff like winches and grip and so on! The vehicle tweaks are mostly good, but what they give with one hand, they take with the other, and yeah I end up getting that kind of unsettling feeling as it struggles to do things that used to be normal! I hope mods can circumvent a lot of this!
@@itsmrlonewolf Yea, mods are def gonna be able to speed the game up a bit. I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna use the mods for game play or just for fun. And I also noticed that the devs never once said that they nerfed anything when most of us noticed during gameplay that they did.
I kinda like the idea of places having limited stock, it makes it so you need to go around to different areas not the choose the best and easiest warehouse and constantly go back there for everything you need. The crafting I more so could do without.
Yeah the cargo in different areas doesn’t really bother me at all, seems bit odd to strip houses for materials lol but either way I don’t mind, keeps it different I guess, but yeah the crafting thing I’m not too keen on either 👍🏻
In a good way, you’ll want the MSHII tyres on it, best mud rating for that truck, you’ve got 8 of them, thing is nearly unstoppable, the wide 5 slot trailer is great, big tyres, doesn’t get hung up on stuff and isn’t way to big to drag around.
Well I found something that the Lo4f can’t winch today, which is a Kolob and the 8 slot trailer with 4 concrete slabs on it up the steep hills on the Yukon maps, I was a bit disappointed... I’m finding the Canada maps much harder than I expected
Lol was that using a tree to wedge behind too? It’s a shame though they have nerfed the winches as they feel pretty useless now, a few times now I’ve had them just stop pulling, even when it’s not a particularly heavy truck, I hope they sort them out 👍🏻
@@itsmrlonewolf yep wedged behind a tree too it’s a shame they give us that huge trailer and no way to get it up a hill with a load I even had a P12 push from the back with the Kolob pulling it wouldn’t do anything. It’s the hill after you cross over the bridge from the train station area heading up towards the gold mine but it’s the first hill on the left not the one further down (although that one was impossible with that trailer and a P16 too so...)
Haha yeah I’m not sure if they’ve increased it, or if it just seems to show up more with the kind of misty weather on the map, but it smokes like a beast lol 👍🏻
I just tried the FOV settings, thanks for the tip. I find it made first person a lot better honestly with the slider up. In 3rd person I used to always be pulling the camera back, but with the slider full it's a nice driving view when keeping the camera zoomed in, and when you need to look around you can zoom way out and indeed see a lot more.
@@justinlynch3 it is a game changer I don't know if everyone else is doing it but mine bugs out now I have to reset those two settings whenever I load back into my game but it's worth it
@@daveplays8735 I noticed when I turned the game off and back on that motion blur was turned on again as well. Seems like the video settings does have a save bug.
@@justinlynch3 every now and then my wheel settings will change not all of them just the wheel imput it's weird but minor compared to some of the other things😂🤣
Yeah thanks man I tried them the other day, I did think the camera felt a bit more zoomed in than before, but thankfully that fixed it, I wish there was a button to lock the amount of zoom now lol 👍🏻
Some of the main contracts are tedious with having to use 10-15 cabins but at least you can reuse them but I don't think that'll be for long because I think because the cabins are reusable they break the game in multiplayer and single player.
Yeah I’ve not tried those missions yet but I’ve heard about these cabins that seem to be causing problems! Maybe I’ll just leave them for a few days and hope they patch it lol 👍🏻
It has a special offroad along with the m9. It’s sorta speedy but still only had 4 gears. The m9 is a bit small for the 8 slot trailer and gets plowed into corners by it. I haven’t tried the voron d on the new maps yet. I will eventually tho. It’s been a joy to drive in the past.
Yeah the Voron d is a pretty decent truck, all the Vorons are pretty solid to be fair, not tried them on this map so far, I think it’s on its roof on another map somewhere lol
The 1 im finding vest 2 use in flooded foothills is the azov antarctic. Those huge tires make a big difference. Im wondering if they changed the physics on the mud because even my main trucks tealky struggling on this map. But the antarctic is peing all over them.
Yeah the kolobs are pretty good, the raised suspension makes them a lot more usable! The P12 feels a bit weak to me, I still prefer the P16 out of all of them, but yeah this new suspension does help them out through most terrain 👍🏻
I’ve found the 8 slot trailer to be the cause of most of my frustration on new this map. It’s feet get caught on absolutely everything. If your looking for an alternative to the kolobs I would consider the azov 73210. It’s pretty good and a bit quicker.
Yeah I don’t use them all that much, on some maps the speed isn’t too bad, but on others they do feel painfully slow! That multipurpose gearbox is what they needed to add to the advanced special, the speed is better, but missing the high gear and 3 low range options isn’t good!
@@ccf500 yeah I’ve been trying that 8 slot as it looks cool, but it’s legs do get caught up way too much, they need to make it more like a sled so at least it could slide more! And yeah Bruce is a solid truck to use, plenty of grip and power and pulling strength 👍🏻
