hi bluenun its me in all the komatsu vids. actually this type of sandstone isnt to bad on the body aslong as u keep turning v ripper boot to keep it sharp. some types of volcanised shale can be hard on v body as it grabs & releases. thanks for asking & have a good year.
production is depth in the rip. this video is only showing the 1st rip pass & is ripping as deep as it can on this pass.if i try to go deeper it only lifts the back of the dozer off the ground & that stuffs up ur traction. ur next rip is ur cross rip & thats when u start to get good depth & are able to go faster . if its not down full shank after that cross pass do another cross pass at a different angle.any big rocks that u cant straddle push them aside.
Hi 13frontrow, I just wondered if you have ever done any Ripping with a dozer? I would think it is the kind of thing where you might go home pretty sore and with your muscles aching, as it grabs and releases? I know this was uploaded some time back from this comments date, but if I haven't already said I hope you are Healthy, Wealthy, and wise in 2012, OK? … Well, the last item is optional! take care, mrbluenun
the condition of ur floor after u push ur rip off deepends on how thourough ur rip is but its best to leave a thin layer of ripped rock on the floor to aid in traction + aid in grouser wear & above all operator comfort. in other words dont gouge ur blade into a hard rock floor. cross ripping is the only way to get good depth even in soft brown shale. hope iv been of some help to you & thanks for asking.
ha ha no ure fine by me buddy. i just get pissed off at some of the negative remarks by dumb fucks & when i give an answer as to why a scraper may be waiting for a push the dumb fucks dont reply. ha ha they cant handle defeat. thanks buddy. trying to get more vids but am working on a site where cameras arent allowed.
