Excellent work done in primitive spaces by primitive means. God bless these men for working so hard to earn money to raise a family. I love their delicery pickup truck.. from California, USA
Come on Man! that was a first-class engine rebuild. Didn't you notice they carefully followed they manufacturers specifications when torquing the crankshaft bolts? I thought for sure I heard the click sound, didn't you? Didn't you notice how they reused bearings and piston rings? Didn't you notice how they protected the crankshaft by laying it on a brick floor, then sitting on it when they put it on the turret lathe???? I'd let them rebuild the 5.7 L hemi in my challenger any day.
For what they have to work with I think they're doing a great job, I'd like to see anybody else do better in those working conditions and for the same wages 🤬
I have rebuilt diesel engines for 5 decades and have seen "seized many times. Seized is when you have to knock the pistons and liners out together and then break the liners apart with a sledge hammer to get the rods off or when the crank comes out you the bearings are welded to the crank, that is seized. That engine was overheated more that it was seized. Seized was on the way though.
Где эксплуатанты, а где обслуживание. Они даже вряд-ли понимают что такое обслуживание техники с такой мощностью. Про масло что они в двигатель льют я вообще молчу.
Setting aside the working conditions...There was some real hackery and mistakes being made throughout the video. It's like they understand how everything comes apart and goes together, but they don't know the correct procedures to safely do either with damaging things. Also, they made a lot of assumptions about the block alignment and condition...I'd change that oil after a few hours as there's no doubt some serious dirt intrusion and metal wear. I guess they did the best they could but as a technician this is hard to watch.
It is good to know that smart ass critics are always available. We had a smart as Lieutenant in Vietnam like you. He came home in a box because he made a stupid "expert" mistake like you. I guess this shop should have hired you to come over and tell them how stupid they are. Read the book "The Ugly American" I trust you cn read. My guess you are from Texas.
If these industrious grease monkeys had restored their engine in a pristine environment, the result would have been excellent, and the engine would reliably beat forever. Unfortunately, the grit, grime, and snot they are restoring the engine in will ensure it will not last long.
Вот где очень хорошо видно что человеческий труд в третьих странах ничего не стоит. Дал этому душману с бородой пять рупий в день он и будет вот такой дурью маяться.
Good morning, have you change pistons, rings and rest, why not the liners ??????? In this video you haven't show the check liners dimensions. Sorry. I have maximum rispect to Pakistani workers, but not to the workshop boss. After 45 years of service, all days outside , in chantier, this isn't a correct working system ! Tks
