Kung Lao got his neck snapped by Shao Khan while Raiden did nothing to save him.

It should be a big plot hole, but I think it's either he died immediately or it's just interfere with kombat rules (which we don't know actually). It's not like Raiden is chill about that since he was about to attack Shao Kahn after that.

@@jacobpainter1962 Not likely, since Kronika is gone for good, and we don't have any real confirmation on who won the Hourglass in Aftermath, whether it was Liu Kang or Shang Tsung. Regardless of who controls it, this means the Revenants no longer exist because Liu Kang resets time back to 500 years in the past to train The Great Kung Lao for his fight against Goro (no Revenants existed yet since with the exception of Shao Kahn, Onaga, Shinnok, Quan Chi, and the Edenians; none of the Kombatants were born yet) while Shang Tsung siphons Raiden & Fujin's powers to ressurect them as his dark servants; giving Shang no need for weak Revenants when he has two demi-gods as his realm-conquering muscle. You present an interesting idea for sure, but only NRS can truly say for sure what happens next.

@@georgecortes3416 I honestly think the Liu kang ending is what they'll use. It's possibly a reboot of the whole story now. Since events will be ultimately much more different. Maybe not as bad as it's gets in 9 and X. So many of them dead. But now hey imagine the possibilities now. Origins would be different. I do believe one of the changes to prevent that'll require Liu kang attention is scorpion. I feel like no matter what his family does die in some way. But with the knowledge Liu kang has we'll probably have Hanzo back sooner then later. Just fruit for thoughts

@@bluenitethewarrior9332 Probably, but I don't think Scorpion would be one of Liu Kang's top priorities for the fact that he does redeem himself once he lets go of his rage and forms a new clan on his own. As we see in his ending, he's likely gonna tend to the realms, one at a time and the first Earthrealm by training the Great Kung Lao so he can defeat Goro and win once more against Shang Tsung. And assuming the rest of Kung Lao's Tower Ending plays out, this means Shao Kahn also loses his influence over the Outworlders and they make peace with both Earthrealm and Edenia (whether Liu Kang will persuade Sindel to be a good empress for her people is still in the dark). Assuming this is true, that means we'll either see a new villain for a potential sequel or maybe this will be the long-awaited return of Onaga.

Yeah, and while Kitana TECHNICALLY met her Revenant towards the end of Chapter 12, it was only for a few seconds as Kronika began resetting history, meaning Kitana never got to fight or speak to her future self. And as for Kabal, that meeting would've been rather confusing because in MK9, Kabal wasn't Kano's goon (he was before the game's story took place), but a police officer alongside Stryker. But when his past self arrives as part of the timequake, he's part of the Black Dragon and one of his intros with Robocop (I know most intros aren't canon, but bear with me) suggests he WAS gonna be a cop, but chose not to due to the higher wages afforded by being Black Dragon. Not to mention Cassie and Sonya know him as "Kano's goon back in the day", suggesting there was a retcon with Kabal. But then again, MK's storyline has been messy for a while now, so who can say for sure?

Even though Kung Lao and Liu Kang meeting their revenants was very dope, their revenants were right about Raiden because their death was all his fault.

@@jalyceabraham1902 how? Kung Lao turn his back to the enemy and he knows he shouldn't while Liu Kang chose to disobey Raiden. If Liu Kang defeated Shao then Shao would still try to take the realm until he successfully takes it.

@@osirisjojo6876 Kung Lao didn't see Shao Khan emerging from the portal right behind him while he was talking to Raiden who saw Shao Khan but did nothing to save him and Liu Kang tried to save Kung Lao.

@@J10005 he was under the influence that sub zero killed his family, and so he seeked revenge. However since Sub Zero was also a revenant at the time, they were forced to fight together. Scorpion served Quan Chi as he had nowhere else to really go.

Other than being a Revenant and possessed by the Kamidogu (MKX) comic, I don't see Kuai Liang's character changed so much in this timeline. Heck even when he was a Revenant he was only a jobber, had no actual personality tbh.
