If it’s an older series, then usually other people have already found them so you just need to search the internet hard enough. Then I collect all the info I can find together into a custom Google Map, which is linked in the description. If it’s new and nobody’s found them yet, I basically look for clues in the episode and then spend hours searching on Google Earth, like I did for Komi-san ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rwKTC78jkU4.html

I see; thank you! I had an idea based on this and I wanted to get your opinion. Do you think an app that could find locations that resemble the anime locations in your locality and country be pretty useful and cool? For example: I’ve visited a national park in Colorado that looked a lot like Goshintai and as a proud Canadian yourself, do you think it’d be fun to find Canadian locations that resemble your favorite anime? If it’s a good idea, I might go build it so what do you think? (Sorry for the long message 😅)

@@devaccount661 I like the idea! But I think it might be a bit niche and tricky to find places that resemble them. Might be more worth while to make an app that shows the actually locations of anime and even movies, that way they won’t all be in Japan.
