I have this awesome 29' Kona Hei Hei bike like in the firsts photo !! I make some changes to put more on my taste and absolutely looks and drive much better !!! The main changes are front and rear fox kashima suspension , Easton wheels , post seat , elixir 7 brakes , crhomag handlebar , tires and 3m film protector !!! Also new rotors brakes that are not installed yet !!!!! Hope like my bike and just give a like !!!! Happy riding bikers !!

Good job customizing your bike my friend, I have a HEI HEI HEI of the same year (same frame), and it has given to me the best 5.000 kilometers of my life, it has all its originals components, except the rear derailleur that I broke last week. The bike is efficient AND comfortable as none of others FS MTB, but also lets you hit the trails like a truly AM MTB, I just love it, mine has a full DEORE groupset, but I haven't felt the need of upgrading it yet. Now I'm thinking in an upgrade of the suspension like yours, but just to 120 mm of travel (you put a longer travel fork isnt it?) with a 2 in 1 remote CTD control, which is the only thing I have felt the need for, and maybe a dropper post. P.D.: If you haven't done it yet, put a good pair of handlebars end caps, not using them can be really dangerous when you are falling or crushing.

+Diego Aranguiz I love my Kona very sturdy bike and great in the mountains. I truly recommend you change the tires if you still have the originals . i have on my bike schwalbe on front and specialized butcher on back . now the bike are a beast.

+Vincent fern For the geography of my area (Viña del Mar, Chile) the Ikons where OK, I used them until they diededed, of course now I use more aggressive tires, a couple of Mavic Crossroc Roam, they came with the wheelset and they are really good in loose terrain and in the rocks of course. Thanks for the recomendations though. Keep enjoying your Kona my friend.

Its a 140 mm. Fork !!! no problem with the warranty because the original fork (rock shock ) has thr option to change the components inside to extend the travel to 120 to 140 or reduce to 100 mm . you can play with that depends you taste or your needs !!
