M9 News Journalist Nishant caught up with Writer Kona Venkat ahead of the release of his Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi on April 11th.
We asked Kona Venkat if there would be recall value for the film given the fact it is releasing after ten years and Anjali is a not-so-busy star.
When asked if he did not think of another actor in the film like how it is in the HIT franchise, Kona Venkat said, "Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi is a continuation of the first part. It is Anjali coming back to achieve something. So, there is no chance of change in the principal lead. Anjali will continue in all the films that will come in the Geethanjali franchise".
We asked if the movie would follow the routine template of Horror Comedy or if there would be any fresh elements, Kona said he would not completely go away from the template but still ensured there is something unique in the film.
He also confirmed that he is not officially part of Bobby - Balakrishna film.
We quizzed him about his interest in supporting Jagan Mohan Reddy even though the film industry has been at the receiving end in the last five years.
We particularly asked him why he did not come out and support Pawan Kalyan when Jagan harassed him in the name of ticket prices.
