You know what...I can see that actually happening. They Shotgun Maxx C and then activate Multchummy to block Maxx C from Ash leaving only Called By and Noblement to counter Maxx C 🤮
@@undeadinside3571 this card also stacks with itself XD so if you activate 2 of this and also a maxx c you draw 3 cards if your opponent special summons from hand xd
So, uh, a couple things: 1. The archetypal restriction prevents you from activating more than one "other" Multchummy monster effect, meaning you get two Multchummy effects before you're locked out of any more. 2. Given that the above restriction is the only one the card has (aside from the obvious), you may be noticing that there is indeed no HOPT clause. This is potentially a good thing, since it reduces the impact of an Ash or Called By while the shuffle back effect limits the impact that drawing two cards per summon would have regardless.
Nothing is more annoying than going second and watching your opponent combo for 10 minutes and when your turn finally arrives you have no plays at all or get FTKed.
@@DirtyDan1203 sure, not every deck is going to run it every format, but it is still going to be a staple like imperm or nib. so you probably have to get it sooner or later.
The end phase effect also limits the hand to 7 if the opponent stops after you drop nibiru... still quite an advantage considering the draw for turn but its cool seeing how they are at least trying to balance the card from various angles...
I have a soft spot for Maxx C. I remember when I was getting into Yugioh i bought an Ancient Gear structure deck that contained a Maxx C and i asked around if it was a good card. I was told it was an okay card since it really was only good against decks that special summon a lot. Boy has times changed 😂
It does seem obvious that this means they are replacing the roach, but since it's konami we are talking about, we have to consider the alternative: that this will just be copies #4-6 of maxx "C" trying to force the game to slow down in the worst way possible, by just printing more turn skips and removing omni-negates. Who knows though, at least they are clearly trying new things, and so far it's been working out pretty well for the most part
I'm kindof sad to see Baronne and Savage Dragon go :( I mean, I really love Speedroids, I have a really nice Speedroid deck in Master Duel among many others, and they just so happen to love locking themselves into Wind Synchros, like Baronne, who was one of the easiest go-to bosses the deck could go for. Also, Red Dragon Archfiend is an archetype I like (Heck, I love a ton of synchro archetypes! Synchro summoning for life!) and as Savage Dragon is a dark dragon synchro that they lock themselves in a lot, it fits the criteria well. Than again, they have Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss, who's also an omni negate, just a level higher, with a stricter restriction. Probably also better for the archetype, as Savage Dragon would need a link monster in the grave to be effective.
Honestly I am doubtful it will be worth main decking. The card is useless going first, and is going to be an upstart goblin vs a lot of decks. Even if it is a +1 that really won't be so bad if you can still setup your board. It will be brutal vs some decks but the possibility of it being upstart vs a large part of the meta makes me think it won't be the problem the roach is.
@@WingedEspeon I agree, this card is a sideboard card and format dependant. But against some decks, it is just Maxx C. And gives you the same "fun" choice of passing and loosing or playing into it and loosing.
5:10 have you thought of this card plus evenly matched if they pick to stick with two monsters on the field? Hand, GONE, board, GONE, chances of winning? From 100 to GONE
they get their hand back next turn, also if they keep 2 omni negates they can just negate the evenly, they will have 1 more negate to your 4 cards in hand and you skipped the battle phase, so they WILL get to their next turn
I like the idea that Konami is trying to make the game interactive. I hope it's true. One of the things I like about Maxx C is that is an interactive card, albeit an overtuned one. I just wish trap cards could come back to the game outside of specific decks, but that might not ever happen.
It will be the replacement of Maxx-C. I think it's an obvious thing due to the big impact the roach has on the game and the disparity that will happen if you have those two available. One of them has to go, and de oldest takes priority. Kanji is a well-balanced card. It's not oppressive, and it's effective at the same time, but only if the player has a good feeling to activate it. I'm a Dinomorphia player, and that card surely is good due to being able to benefit that deck with any of its effects.
I don't hate maxx c, and i never wanted it banned. And I always found it funny in 2016 before it got semi-limited, not a single person was saying how much they hated this card and wanted banned. Now I'm just the minority here, and I understand that. I was just on the card needed to be at 3 or 0. I think the TCG has been slightly worse than the OCG over the year's because we don't have our favorite roach, but that's just me. Farfa did a no negate tournament a few years back and I loved it. I think yugioh would be a lot better off looking in that direction. Which is why I love cards like S:P and Zeus. Minn C doesn't exactly help that, unfortunately, but Vesper Girsu kinda can. And some of our most recent card design is kinda moving in this direction. And I like it. Still bring back maxx c, though.
I suggest an almost identical idea for a max c errata one month ago under a farfa video! Konami give fans credit! 🤣 Seriosly many players give them idea to fix it, and it's good they do this card. After tcg Chad ban I hope they will take the good way and ban max. They must do that to try fix this game and make it better, and really fun to play...
Plot twist they have a even more broken card than maxx c in the pack that has yet to be revealed that lets you special summon from the extra deck each time your opponent summons ignoring all conditions.
It will be hilarious if they don't ban MaxxC. Might have a month of chaos where both are legal. Vesper seems really bad when you could just use Evenly or DRNM and essentially do the same thing. So I wonder if we might get a ban on those big board wipe cards too for these more balanced ones? Because without negates Evenly goes really hard right now.
Baronne and Svagae were in rarity collection 1. If they do it, it will happen in a couple of months during the next list, as they did with baronne 6 months after it became affordable. Your point being???
@@leviathan5207 ocg and tcg have different mindsets also tactical try will be out on June even if maxx c gets banned the closest that it will happen is on december
@@Vhvjdow0ajsbcdhcuei3o22-om4sm where in the ever living hell did you hear that? Not once did I hear nany OCG player ever said they want maxx c banned.
OCG players only know maxx c. Some are looking for freedom and some cannot imagine a world outisde the earth insect prison. And any argument they might make in favour of the roach is just copium. I mean, if it stops combo, then why is Tiarament strongest????
@@leviathan5207 actually when an event in master duel had Maxx C banned in an otherwise normal ban list for an event, a lot of ocg players expressed how much better it is playing without the card because it makes deck building less restrictive over the Maxx C package
@@Honest_Mids_Masher that's perfectly fine, they have 3 generic non-once per turn searching effects that cover every level with a bit of utility in Gokipole, Resonance Insect, and Howling Insect, not to mention the other "C" cards- one of which is a kaiju searcher as well. Picofalina is a hell of a card, and Scout Buggy is literally just better in-theme Tour Guide. Only bad thing about it is that you have to run a brick in Killer Needle and combo into all of this, which opens you up to Nib and the theoretical 1-of Maxx "C" also. And even then, I think that'd be a decent tradeoff to keep a combo'ing pile of cards in check
Im not really buying the hype. This is like a custom card with a grab bag of restrictions via Twitch chat. Not to say there isnt anything interesting to talk about, but as a one for one Maxx C comparison, its a bit overcooked. It's starting to feel like the same discourse around Crossout Designator when that first dropped. People are going way too hard in the tank on this.
Lets stop coping. First off, maxx C isnt broken, combo decks are broken. If yòu think one card combos where you special summon 20 monsters for 10 mins uninterrupted in order to set up a board of omni negates or a FTK to prevent your opponent from playing the game then please draw into and activate self destruct button asap. Rogue decks get fucked by imperming or destroying one card. Tier 0 doesn't care if bone fire gets negated by ash. They still have like 5 other cards in hand that can be full comboed off of. 2nd, Maxx C isnt getting banned in the OCG. If anything this card is specifically for TCG players to have SOMETHING to deal with toxic combo decks that is actually ruining the game.
I wouldn't play stun if the meta haven't evolved to my opponent having enough interactions to counter my whole hand. I love stun, but I only play stun when it's necessary
Why do people compare this to Maxx C? It only works if you got nothing on the Field It only works for Monsters from the Hand And you can potentially lose some Cards at the end of the Turn
It includes normal summons to. Which means there are situations where this card actually works better than Maxx C. Also there's no situation where you lose more cards than what you had to begin with because the shuffle effect says X+6 meaning even if your opponent has no cards on the field and you have 6 cards in hand you are keeping those 6 cards.
If max c gets banned on master duel I’ll have to drop the game lmfao I’m not spending money on banners to pull a snake eyes deck, cause if the deck isn’t that then you can’t really compete
@@gravethestampede3454 snake eyes will get hit hard eventually JUST to then be replaced by another top tier deck that you’ll have to spend money on if you want to build the deck cause that will be the new meta lol I don’t wanna have to open my wallet for a new deck to have a top tier deck to compete
That says more about you than snake eye tbh, if your only plan against the meta is hoping you sack into and resolve an auto win button you need to either get a better deck improve your skill or both, there's like 8 tier 2-3 decks right now with another 10 hovering between tier 3 and rogue you don't need either snake eye or maxx c to carry you, especially in ladder but hell even in tournaments last meta weekly had just 3 snake eye decks in top 16.
Tier 0 decks are just a problem we have to face now. The fun was removed years ago. Its always a tier 0 format, or a format where going 1st just means you win, or hand trap vs hand trap battle
I have the feeling the OCG won’t ban Maxx C. We’ll have the jellyfish thing but I think the OCG will maintain their (wrong) opinion about keeping Maxx C legal
Am I the only one or does this card still seem a bit too strong? Why does that End Phase effect say +6 and not something more reasonable like +3 or +4. If you used this card against a deck that needs to special summon a lot from hand and can‘t play around that it probably still is just an Insta-Win. Especially if you used a hand trap or 2 so that this „downside“ matters even less. I hope Konami tested this card enough and that special from hand clause isn’t still too powerful otherwise this could be another hand trap that is able to skip turns like Droll, Shifter or Maxx C itself.
It only works on summons from hand, so it isnt as good as maxx c, which is even more broken and less restrictive. I would GLADLY deal with this thing instead of maxx C. (Plus it deals with floo better. I hate floo)
