The problem is that generic cards are banned because they refuse to ban the actual problem. Linkuriboh has been around for years and nothing but one deck is abusing it so it has to go. It wouldn’t be so bad if Konami actually brought back cards once said deck is hit.

Every time Konami TCG uploads it feels like getting a national warning of an incoming Nuclear Strike. It's more chaos than order at this point.

Seems like the game is pushing me to buy a deck that costs more than my rent, I’m very close to being done with yugioh.

Of course they ban baronne after the Rarity Collection, which was a card I was eager to add to my decks.

Rokkets it's going to need compensation for Savage dragon being banned because a good number of the cards requires a Borrel Synchro monster all designed around summoning it

why did konami decide to hit everything exept the main problem, they just destroyed the hell out of strategies that synchro summon bro,like virtual world, sword soul, even dinos were making these monsters,the budget players cant get peace out here

just when I was thinking of getting a paper Dragon link deck, they banned my boi savage.

To me, it's not that rogue deck players "relied" on generic cards. It's more like their next to only option was to play generic cards so that their deck could be played. The hits to Baronne and Savage hurts many ideas i have had these past few days, and there's not really much of a way to replace them in a lot of those decks. But, there's always meta. I'll just play FKSE until they actually get hit.

The problem is not Generic boss Monster, it's few decks doin freakin too much with 20 handtrap in them, and other deck that not receive support for them to compete, they HAVE to use generic boss monster or Floodgates. Konami have just to do more balanced new archetype and release more support for few deck that need it.

And appalousa is in the rarity collection set due for release

Let’s ban everyone’s old cards that made they deck playable for the future and they don’t need to buy any new cards to force them to buy new cards just to stay in the meta because they old decks was basically the meta for the new meta

Fantastic start Konami should've kept proto and colossus banned but whatever its a start towards getting rid of ALL generic extra deck boss monster's that way every extra deck isnt just copy paste

The only card I personally would have also added was I:P, but besides that, I’m happy with this ban list , I knew they wouldn’t hit a deck that they’re selling recently, so hurting its other cards makes sense, I’m just glad baronne is finally gone

Engage was banned because of how orcust was abusing it. That isolde play was when dark warrior was a thing before orcust actually got to full power.

A lot of rogue, tier 3 and tier 2 deck just lost their one negate and now they pretty much dead or die to nibiru and the top decks still top. it's pretty sad

For example this band was the band of summon limit and they didn't bring back any of the other floodgates like rivalry rivalry or goes and match Kaiser Colosseum for Kaiser Colosseum or unbanned MaxxC

I always have had the belief that some of the most powerful effects should be balanced by making them difficult to use outside of a archetype they were specifically designed for... And so many problems are often a result of and difficult to balance around cards that have powerful effects that are way to open, generic, and or easy to summon, leaving them vulnerable to abuse by any deck that can feasibly afford the space. That is also not accounting for decks that had critical support cards be made unplayable ala Bans and restrictions, because they were also made generic enough to a point that a unrelated deck found a way to abuse those cards in a way not intended or were otherwise unhealthy for game balance, leaving the deck that needed those cards to be atleast on even footing on even a casual level in a broken and sad state...

Summon limit is banned but no snake eyes hit???

Immediate thoughts on the banlist at face value without thinking about it, an edit will come after some reflection at a later time. Bans: Linkuriboh, Barrone and Borreload Savage are rather wild bans. Sure Savage and Barrone were end board cards and generic but they’ve always been that way so hitting them now is an odd decision. Linkuriboh is in a similar boat, but not quite to the same degree of as the other two. Summon limit is summon limit, no surprise it’s here. Limits: Protos and Colossus I can see being potential problems in the future, the degree of which is TBD. Tidal isn’t going to do anything, to my knowledge the other three aren’t doing anything so this limit isn’t really relevant. Kirin is nice to come back, albeit it slightly late, should’ve come back last banlist to coincide with the release of the new cards. Chicken Game is a wild card to me, I don’t see it doing anything save maybe an issue with time rules. Anti-Spell is again, anti-spell I’m not surprised it’s here. Semi-limits: Completely irrelevant, I don’t think Armageddon Knight at two will amount to much at face value. Purrely Delicious falls under a similar category, I’m sure it will see play but I don’t think it matters. Unlimits: Malicious is nice to have at three, even though at 2 was just fine and made sense. Harp Horror and Terrortop to three is always nice but I don’t think matters at all. Engage to three will make Sky Striker a wild card in the future meta, I could see rouge at least. I think this is a very “meh” banlist, it doesn’t really do anything to curve Fire decks in the slightest or set the stage for anything coming in LEDE or INFO. As I stated above, I will reflect and consider everything further and will edit any changes of mind or thought then.

I don't get why they just didn't hit the cards that are broken in the Snake Eyes Fire King Deck or at least make them limited and before anyone say because the just came out I loved playing Unchained before the new support came out and when the new support came out everyone ran to the deck and then they hit the deck right away

Rundown: -Snake eyes unhit still tier 0 -95% of synchro decks hurt immensely -Traded anti spell floodgate for colossus’s way more accessible floodgate -Protos ftk back -several rogue strategies got a bit more consistent Overall: No change to the current top decks, dozens upon dozens of rogue decks hurt immensely and possibly fall out of any playability while splashable floodgates back at an all time high with another ftk to worry about. Some rogue decks are happy like mermaid Atlantean and majespectors, but with the tier zero format continuing it’ll take a gentlemen’s agreement to have success with these above casual level The reason trolls were saying ban linkkuriboh was because it was the one card in the deck/extra that if you ban it doesn't change their combo in any way. Princess or zillantis would make then change their end boards and combo lines for an example. Losing ash or oak would cause them to change their starting combo. But, replacing linkuriboh with anima allows the combo lines to stay exactly the same. It's still a dark for dark charmer, going second it could be a board breaker and going first it'll just be linked away. It actually could be argued to be just as good as linkuriboh in that regard. The trolls said ban linkkuriboh because it was the one card that changed literally nothing.

By the way, if ban jet synchron does not need hit baronne and savage. BUT komoney is komoney.

Baronne and Borreload and Linkuriboh can be fixed by being archetype exclusive and being errataed as: Baronne to be related to synchrons Borreload related being Rokket tuner + Rokket non tuner And needing a Rokket link to equip to itself Linkuriboh being level 1 cyberse as a material Summon limit is doomed to be banned for eternity

Every hand trap is weak to Debunk and tribute monsters like kaijus, rituals and lava golem become garnets under mask of Restrict's effect. Debunk is searchable via Guiding Ariadne and if you play 3 debunk in a deck you can force your opponent to give you one via Ariadne's effect as her effect doesn't state that you have to reveal 3 counter traps with different names. Just play Ariadne in the pendulum zone pop her with mst or something and reveal 3 counter traps then have 1 added to your hand. Easy search. You could even use celestial transformation to make this faster as Ariadne will be destroyed in the end phase triggering this effect. This combo will let you search a debunk on your opponent's turn.😂

My problem with Baronne de Fleur was never its ability to be used in every deck. It's its actual ability. It's got two ways to destroy cards, one being a negate, and a way to return itself to the extra deck, AND only one of them is a hard once per turn. My idea would be to just remove one of the card destroying effects, probably the one that isn't a negate, and rework the ability to return itself, like by maybe saying you can't resummon the same turn you use the effect, and you might have something. I don't use this card, I'm a Super Quant player, I haven't even been playing MD that long, and honestly only recently got really back into Yugioh, but I've been following this series for a while. I don't know how cards with over powered effects keep making it past playtesting, but then I remember, as a gamer, that they're just a terrible company, so I shouldn't be so surprised. And I don't even play silent Hill or Metal gear solid and I think their awful. The company, not the series. Just to clarify.

Tbh Baronne didn’t really need a ban as it really only needed an errata. The reason a lot of people hate it is because it’s an Omni negate that takes generic materials. If it just had a restriction on its summon like needing Fleur Synchron then it would’ve probably dodged the ban list

Bro love to hear these guys try to justify the list, they don’t care about us at all, won’t be investing money into their wallets anymore. My crew is building budget decks and playing ourselves. This is out of hand, not only did they murder older players collections with rarity collection, they are murdering every other deck by indirectly hitting generic cards instead of the problem. It’s all about money, we need to rise up and stop buying product to get any real change.

On the other hand I don’t understand why not even a singol hit to the snake eye strategy , I mean I get that we are a banlist behind from the OCG and the deck is expensive and the cards are relatively new exc but just the Linkuriboh mhhh… I was expecting a little bit more like the Wanted just like in OCG.

Nibiru being a METEOR again is nice, it is so much stronger now, some decks have monster spam for days but some are way weaker with nib having less of a check.

Yeah good banlist but would have loved to get more archtype support before they hit the generics. Because some really need better Boss monsters or something Else.

If you're smart about it, snake eyes can lose to EKA the flame buddy. If they use the combo where they turn flamberge dragon into a continuous spell and you play eka, you can use eka's effect to summon the flamberge dragon to your field and then if they try to gain back some ground by summoning diabellstar, you can flamberge dragon her to the spell or trap zone for eka to bring to you later.😂
