These silly little voice clips come from a bonus disc that you got when you pre-ordered the Lucky Star PS2 visual novel game. Said disc contents can be found here: archive.org/details/lucky-sta...
A lot of mid-2000s visual novels, doujin games, and anime drama CDs included sound files that could be dragged and dropped to replace existing OS sounds, often leaving the user with a computer that speaks to him in his waifu's voice.
I wanna thank you for uploading this, ive been using the error sound as my tf2 hitsound and the shutdown as my killsound for months now and it's now become a part of my brain at all times.
it makes sense, really. Lucky Star is from 2007, Windows XP was still pretty much the top OS of the time. So ofc Konata, being the otaku she is, would mimic the XP sounds.. And as someone growing up in this era.. its very nostalgic too
Yeah, it makes even more sense when you remember Konata actually used Win XP. // @@realcartoongirl Well, it is a comment, so he's talking to nobody really
it is her mimicking the sound. it's just that 'ding' is the only sound out of these that we have a word for in english. all she's really saying is ディン, so in all it would be パンパンパンパパン, デコ, デコン,ディン,パパパパン
I downloaded this, cut it, and put it as my notification sound, now I'm going to do the same with konata singing cha-la head cha-la and put it as my ringtone
