Another rocking episode Tara! I agree with Lalita Iyer, kids below 4 should not be going to any 'school'...we rob them of their childhood, of their natural exploration phase and start casting them in the mould of our dreams instead of letting them shape their own dreams. Also, Konkona was absolutely fantastic, loved her interview and I am in complete awe of her . Thanks Tara, you are fantastic.

Hello Mrs. Tara, this was another great episode. I found it very interesting that the concept learning is practiced there as well as here in the United States. As I posted on the Kajol episode I work from home, but I home school my kids as well. I was really looking for a mommy among your group that homeschooled. Is it frowned upon over there? It's a very popular option here in the states. It is a lot of work and takes A LOT of organization. I was a school teacher for 8 years before I stopped to homeschool my kids. It was the best decision we made. I agree with your mommies and the Principal. You have to create experience that are enriching for your kids and spend time with them. I'm not against school but this was the right option for us. I truly enjoy your shows. I feel like it's a little time in the day as I work to take for me where I feel I'm among people who know exactly what I'm going through. Thanks for your videos. :0)

Thanks so much:) bl4wright for your super encouragement and great feedback. Wow you homeschool! I really did want to have someone on who homeschools but unfortunately a friend I asked couldn't make it. I hope to do something on it in our next Season. Maybe you could come to India and be on or I may come there and get international guests too:)! Do share your experieneces on homeschooling, yes I have heard it is tough but has lots of benefits too. As always I say each to their own! With your teaching background you are probably better equipped to do it than most of us. Do your kids miss a classroom environment and claamates? It is not very common here in India but I do know a few who are doing it. Thx again for your kind words on our show

The problem with India's education is that, except for some schools, the teachers recruited do not have the necessary skills or training to be teachers. They're there because they need a job and they just want to get through with it. I studied in a very modest school in Bangalore where the teachers were absolutely clueless about what was going on and resorted to beating & humiliating children when they couldnt answer a question or if a situation got out of hand. Thankfully, I self-learnt a lot from books & other sources. The whole system of education needs an overhaul in India. Even if teachers are teaching for the sake of a job, they need to be trained well & paid better too. Else we will be producing a mass of disgruntled, fearful and unimaginative herds.

Great feedback thx Deepa Pandit and yes I think good teachers are pivotal to good education...there are of course some great ones but yes the system needs to nurture incentivise and reward good teachers so we have more...a good teacher can make you love your subject I really believe that How awful that you experineced seeing some teachers beat and humiliate kids thats just criminal Thx again for watching and the feedback

Wow that would be great! I wish I could come,but you are welcomed to come here! I have a great group of other homeschool moms from varies backgrounds who homeschool ranging from 1 year to 14! My oldest misses school sometimes because he experienced it in kindergarten. The others have never gone to regular school so they don't mind.

Hi. I live in the UK I am an indian who converted to islam many years ago. I don't get one thing, why is this show and many more, even in bolllywood films, they speak english Not everyone in India understand English so why not do it in hindu/urdu. Look at china, japan, germany france and so many more, they speak their own languages.. x i mean its ok to speak English but not when we should be speaking our own language.

Thanks for watching our show and for commenting..I actually did do the show in Hindi for two seasons but to be very honest being from Bombay and being half Indian and half English, much as I love Hindi, English is my first language and the language I am more fluent in and so I felt to do justice to the show and be natural given we are touching upon some sensitive issues, I felt I could do it better justice in Englsih. Also thanks to @RU-vid people like you who live abroad can watch it too and our audience is actually quite global so I think englsih is perhaps opens up an international audience too. There are many here who speak much better Hindi and Urdu than me and many other shows too but for me Eng felt easier. But thanks for the feedback maybe I will do it in both:)! Also the TG for this show being on @Star World is mainly urban Indians most of whom speak some English. If it were on a GEC Channel I would have opted for Hindi. I love both languages of course! And you raise an important point, there are many like me, who actually think in English in India too:)! Hope you like our new season here is a sneak peak bit.ly/tssjafk

Not everyone in India understands Hindi/Urdu either. What is this "our own language" you speak of? Do you not know that almost every state in India has its own language, which is neither Hindi nor Urdu? This show seems to be targeted at urban Indians in their twenties and thirties, and English is the one language that their target audience can understand completely, regardless of whether they're from the north or south.
