Tony Khan would never sue Punk or anyone because when you take the stand, you have to actually answer questions.

I think it's quite the opposite really. AEW released footage of CM Punk that they didn't own, when he didn't even know it was being filmed, and tried to use it as character assassination. CM Punk actually has a case against AEW.

The problem with that lawsuit was Tony Khan specifically said that he wouldn't fire people for backstage fights (when Andrade was beefing with Sammy Guevara) and Punk had already been in a backstage fight previously without being fired.
