Remember when Aldarp said the only person suitable to marry Lalatina is the first prince himself while they were on the castle? Iris also mentioned the necklace was a gift to his older brother, she was just safekeeping it. Aldarp's plan was to switch bodies with the first prince, kill his old body, became the future king with Lalatina as his bride. He was also hiding all his misdeeds using Maxwell's truth adjustment powers, Kazuma mentioned he does bad stuff to women but there is suspiciously no proof found. Without Kazuma & co he could've got everything he wanted.
@@Bexploserpro He was originally going to do the same thing with his own son when he was the one who was going to marry her. The sons decision not to marry her thwarted that.

I love when Megumin is holding the explosion and Kazuma says "Don't tense up too much!" LOL It looks like she split the explosion into a bunch of little ones.
Supplementary info/LN changes for the last episode of S3 (long comment warning.) Lot of changes from the start, like Kazuma saying that he doesn’t like Darkness in that way and that she’s an important comrade, Aqua brings up how Megumin would be mad and that he would eat an Explosion if she found out and that Resurrection won’t work if his body is completely gone, Darkness was fine with killing Alderp’s men and Kazuma could hear their heads creaking, there wasn’t a big henchman and Kazuma was going to get serious without weapons, then cut to Yun Yun using Light of Saber before he did, Megumin called Yun Yun her breast friend (bosom friend) and Yun Yun didn’t think this was weird at all to say, while Megumin told her to go back to the inn where she stays at, Kazuma got jealous of Megumin for stealing his thunder, she threatens if she loses concentration, Explosion will go off, so no one rushes her, Megumin did know Kazuma would do something, but stole his moment because of ‘Crimson Demon instinct,’ and Yun Yun got jealous of Megumin’s words and asked if she would do the same for a breast friend, which Megumin said no because they’re not comrades and they have a rivalry. The adventurers did not bring up soccer so that skull didn’t come from nowhere (Kazuma also implies that they would tease her later about the wedding dress), Kazuma brings up that weapons can’t be used in town due to law, Megumin and Yun Yun have a moment that references KonoBakuen Episode 5 and Yun Yun stays behind to stall for an offer of getting friends and Kazuma tries to stall too, and Dust mentions that he hates nobles. 9:18 - Megumin just aimed upwards, like in KonoBakuen, they just added more effects to make it look cooler. We get Alderp’s PoV in the LN, which he was creeped out by Maxwell and found that odd, since he gets along with people the more time he spends around them. He also explains how Maxwell’s power is to manipulate events/memories, but the power is weaker in a church (due to what he did and said to Darkness, despite being a lesser noble than her, he wanted Maxwell to change everyone’s memories and was going to execute Kazuma, but was stopped from leaving when Maxwell said that he couldn’t and that was the first time.) Alderp had payed the price many times before, but Maxwell’s bad memories let Alderp continue to do this (unlike the anime, this was foreshadowed in LN 3, where Aqua could sense Maxwell’s power when Alderp used it on Sena and the judge to get Kazuma executed and called it out and people believed her, until she mentioned that she was a Goddess/follower number and the lie detector item rang and the people threw her out of the court.) Alderp has been doing this since before the series started and is also responsible for other things (he was going to use the body swap treasure on his son, when the marriage succeeded in S2/LN 3 and would kill his own son, but it failed and then prepared his plan for S3/LN 6 to swap with the prince and kill him and marry Darkness that way.) Not so fun fact: in the Web Novel (not the LN) Alderp’s exes all looked exactly like Darkness, so he partially succeeded and he was going after Darkness since she was a child, despite failing each time. Alderp ordered Maxwell to kill Vanir, but Maxwell was confused since Vanir is his kin (Vanir adds that Maxwell came from another world without his memories and that he is his kin and says that Alderp only got this far in life due to his only strong point: Luck and that’s why the Demon Summoning treasure picked Maxwell.) Alderp cowardly says that he wouldn’t have done any of this if Vanir just wanted Maxwell back, but Vanir did this because this gave more negative emotions to Vanir and would die for this many (he also didn’t have a wig to take off.) In the LN, Maxwell broke both of Alderp’s arms and held them in front of him and Vanir told him to take him back to hell to pay off the debt slowly, which Alderp tries to bargain with his wealth, but Vanir says that it would be confiscated to House Dustiness and Kazuma would get all his money back, as well as the town and the kingdom (he tried to use his staff, instead of family, in the LN.) Lastly, Alderp tries to bargain with Maxwell that he apologizes and that he doesn’t hate him… which Vanir was waiting for, as Maxwell likes him and wants him to stay by his side forever in hell and enjoy his despair day and night and this was why Alderp couldn’t like the Devil as he was so terrified that he prayed to god for the first time (‘I will cherish you, Alderp! Unlike the girls you abandoned after abducting them, I will take care not to break you!’ were the last words from Maxwell, before Alderp was dragged to hell forever as Maxwell laughed the whole time, a fate worse than death and KonoBakuen showed how demons really care about contracts.) Kazuma monologued that he was going to be a farmer, before Darkness said that Alderp vanished. Darkness confirmed that Kazuma bought her and Megumin started up Explosion and Aqua adds that if this didn’t happen, she wouldn’t have known that Ignis was sick and blamed Vanir for the curse (Darkness was also manipulated by Maxwell’s power and why she agreed to Alderp’s terms in the first place.) There’s another epilogue, but it was cut/changed to not end it on a cliffhanger, in case they don’t adapt S4 (not saying because spoilers and they’ll likely do it like the movie and S3, where they cover it at the start of S4, so watch out for people impatiently trying to spoil this epilogue.) However, there is a nice bonus story about Kazuma trying out a magic hat from Wiz that reveals your thoughts, to help communicate with monsters and animals (shenanigans happen and Kazuma puts it on Aqua during chess, so she loses, but he puts it on a wine bottle and he hears, ‘Thank you for tending to my tomb and telling me adventuring stories all this while,’ which is the thoughts of Anna Filante Estroid, the ghost girl that inhabits the mansion and pranked them in S1E8.) Just to clarify: Kazuma is richer than before, has no more debt (Alderp’s funds covered everything), and the mystery of the egg is still a mystery (also, just like LN 6, no Demon Generals were fought/this was the first Season without a Demon General encountered/fought and we dealt with 2 Divine Treasures after starting this side plotline, with 5/8 Generals defeated/encountered and 2 Treasures that aren’t Gram, this Season.) No announcement for S4, Continued! KonoBakuen series, Dust’s Spin-off series, or Vanir Spin-off yet and probably no more OVAs, since the series is finished/no new LNs to pair the OVA with like they did before (also, KonoBakuen didn’t have an OVA either.) Fun fact: the author was told to give up as an author by a teacher, but they didn’t give up and now they have a multimedia franchise and an ‘Akatsuki-verse’ of stories in a shared universe/multiverse (?)
Kudos for this season turning Darkness into a person you can feel for instead of just a joke, and for showing a couple of times how much Megumin actually loves Kazuma. Aqua is still useless outside of Sacred Spell Break and replacing a Brita water filter.
Aqua has been improving though - her suggesting the versatile entertainer skill out of nowehre proved pretty useful. Darkness could have spared herself some sorrows had she asked for Aquas help for her father sooner. While she assumed her fathers illness had natural causes, a short checkup by Aqua would immediately bring the curse to light since Aqua smells this kind of stuff better than anyone - just remember her "Sacred Exorcism" she cast at Keeles dungeon when the Vanir obsessed Darkness emerged.
The baby tadpole tricks us at the ending scene.....they already show it in episode 1......😂 So the egg 99% a chicken then as per everyone hoping for . You guys remember Aqua actually can summon a giant toad by chance.....she did it in episode 5...or 6....During the banquet for Kazuma left the castle
I will miss my weekly dose of Konosuba. Season 2 came out in 2017 Season 3 2024 Hopefully we don't have to wait another 7 years. But the movie and the Megumin series were in between that, so there is hope

Vanir's and now Maxwell's powers are so cool. Like it's bit funny how (relatively) easily Vanir was "defeated" but he is still so damn powerful. Just his main power isn't in combat necessarily. But yea the demon powers are really cool and interesting. I love that authors have the guts to just go for overpowered characters because they can add really interesting dynamics to a story. Sometimes if done badly, they can feel like plot conveniences but I didn't feel that from Vanir and Maxwell here. In general, really peak season!
21:30 Megumin's worried that Darkness will steal Kazuma from her. All that poor girl needs to do is keep being sweet and loving to him and she'll win. At least in MY opinion, warmth and comfort beat out hot and sexy.
I dont know how they contained the explosion but it looked like advanced magic was used so I would guess Yunyun maybe helped to contain it but i dont know. That is just a guess
Once the explosion spell is initialized it can not be undone. And Megumins staff sparkled the first time we saw it. So the only thing she could do was to hold it back as long as she could (building enormous inner tensions) or as last resort redirect it as much as possible. It still did minor damage like cracking windows, but no buildings were destroyed and no one was harmed in a serious way. Otherwise the church and many buildings around would have been destroyed with many people killed or injured.
Great finale and a season that can hold up to/ even out do its previous season. Here is hoping to see the news about a new season soon. More info, remember in like s3e3 when kazuma and co was getting a banquet, and nobles start discussing who should marry lalatina and alderp say "only prince jattice is the suitable groom for lalatina". Then when the body swap shenanigans start, princess iris says she got it from her brother jattice. So alderp gave that to jattice in the hopes of using the body swap,then marrying lalatina and becoming the king of rhe kingdom. But as we know that gets foiled. So the whole curse dustiness family head plot comes in. So yeah,most of the shit that happened in this season is cause of alderps obsession with darkness
Also sad that you guys missed the versatile entertainer usage to get the guards to run back and help collecting money.. especially since you guys commented when she asked about buffing him with it lol
This is something the anime omitted in season 2, and maybe someone in the comments already said it there, but in episode 1 of season 2, the court scene, remember when Kazuma was getting released but suddenly he was getting the death sentence? In the novels, Aqua sensed a demonic presence trying to warp the sentence, in that moment, the people were on edge of what she said, but Aqua messed up saying she was a goddess (true) and she has millions of followers (false) and that statement made the lie detector ring, so they didn't believe her. So a demon on Aldarp's side was already foreshadowed since there.
2:57 now i watch this for the third time i just realized. How did kazuma/vanir move such a huge volume amount of money unnoticed. Did vanir/kazuma have a doraemon 4th dimension pocket or something.
Best season (so far) is over and we did not finish one more of the demon kings generals in the main quest. But in terms of character development this was a big one.
First of all, i hope things can get better for all of you. This season was AMAZING. Idk how, but they definitely were able to put Darkness's character UP THERE. Again, she's now my favorite, and i'm looking forward to what we will see next season (movie?). PS: my girl Aqua finally coming in clutch😂 it's always on the season finale man...always

Hormones demand their right, got nothing to do with romantic emotions though. And for some reason Kazuma seems to be more into fumbling smaller chests (Megumin, Chris)...
