Oh thanks i was waiting for that one. The concern you have on this kid's production and it's potential translation to N/A hockey is justified but i'm not too worried. First cause playing such a big role this young in such a big team (currently ranked 5th) and such a tough pro championship is already super impressive. I equate this to Reinbacher having a big role last year in even more intense of a championship but in a lesser team within it. Secondly cause Lassi Alanen who scouts this league for EliteProspects/EPRinkside noted on december 3rd Helenius had 14 points in his last 14 games, upward trend then. And finally cause his 8 goals represents almost 10% of the total goals scored by his club this season so far, he's got only 2 teammates with a slightly better points tally (21, 22 pts respectively), only one of which with as many goals scored. Off course this would have to be confirmed at the World Juniors tourno and the remaining of the season with Jukurit but it seems to me he's on the right tracks to be a very interesting pick come draft day.
Agreed! I think the WJC will help dictate his rankings somewhat...it always seems that when a draft year prospect has a good or bad WJC it will affect their overall draft day rankings.
