@@MultiKeto exactly! He is cherry picking and giving in to the idea that men shouldn’t fight for there rights because it might be unseemly as a man to whine, but what about those men who’ve gone through a divorce and lose custody of their children and desperately want to be good fathers and see their kids. They alone can’t do it. There needs to be a coalition a movement to be fair to men. A lot of resentment out there and unfortunately it will blow back towards women. It begins very early. The first unfairness done on boys by other men because a girl cried and blamed a boy for something and he gets the strap and wrongly accused.

I’m a woman, and Jordan Peterson’s lectures helped me unravel all of my issues that no other counselor could help my uncover before. He helped me understand my main issue was how I was way too agreeable which was inevitable snowballing into a host of other issues. If it weren’t for Jordan Peterson, I wouldn’t have gotten myself out of the many holes I’d dig myself in. He’s even better in person and truly cares about the people he helps. My sister and I were astounded at just how many young men were at his event just looking for a “father figure” to help them become better men. Screw all the women haters.

@@Lilah1848You’re making a huge assumption that all of Jordan Peterson’s fan that are men are absent fathers. You don’t have anything to back up that claim. @@Lilah1848I didn’t make that assumption. I said many young men are looking for a father figure. I never said that man absentee fathers are looking for a father figure. I watched Jordan Peterson here in Zurich, the audience was very beautiful, well-dressed people, families, a lot of girls and of course a lot of young boys all dressed in suits, ties and waistcoats, beautiful to see. And you sit and listen to someone like Jordan speaking a master English language (English is not my mother tongue but oh my how much we miss people who speak like him, not like these degenerated journalists). I was there seeing with my own eyes the representation of excellence. Pure excellence. And there is no competition for excellence.

@@goranmilosavljevic1393 I'm off today, so I'll explain a little bit about what I mean. Currently, you only need to use OBSERVATION (see the rebels with blue hair, hairy armpits and "absent father" bangs. Do you really think that one who neglects one's body so much is doing okay from the inside?). There is a book I like a lot that defends: beauty is not a purely subjective thing, but a universal need of human beings, therefore, contempt for beauty also means losing the meaning of life. For me, it connects with the girl with the blue hair, who lost (or never found) the meaning of life. Who wants to embrace some flag no matter what, wants to revolt with the world, but doesn't take care for her most intimate parts and, in theory, the easiest ones to initiate change. Appearance, relationship with parents, family, friends. As Jordan himself says: tidy your room before criticizing the world. But back to the subject of beauty: for 2,000 years humans have pursued beauty-in art, in architecture, and in shaping the human environment in general. Art used to recognize that suffering and chaos are part of human life and offered beauty as a remedy to find joy and meaning in life. Again with the observation, no modern city beats an Italian city to put it simply. There is a channel here on RU-vid called The Aesthetic City. Have a look at one of their videos called: This City Did the Impossible. I also recommend vividly for you to read this book: "Beauty" by Sir Roger Scruton, or watch the documentary with the same name. Beauty inspires. And an inspired person inspires other people, positively influences their social cycle and move the needle towards a better society.

I have often thought very much about why beauty matters, and it surely does matter a lot. We can even truly know that with simply walking in gorgeous places, and seeing how uplifted we feel. 100% agreement. Taking popular media as just one example, albeit a rather large and influential one, men have gone from being depicted as strong, capable, competent, sources of safety and wisdom to clueless buffoons barely able to tie their own shoes without the patronizing and somewhat exasperated support of women...and sometimes children. Similarly....I've noticed "children" have gone from only partially formed human beings in the process of learning and in need of the careful and loving guidance of adults and parents......to being both more capable and smarter than adults in general and the their parents in particular. It's kids that "know what time it is" whereas parents....if they are depicted at all....are depicted as fumbling dolts that the world of children don't need and must repeatedly correct and eductate. And then we wonder why we live in upside down clown world.....

What I don't understand is that this whole narrative given us by feminists about transgenderism and "toxic masculinity" is based solely on stereotypes and then fitting everyone into an array of set stereotypes, all the while trying to claim that they are breaking stereotypes. People are unique individuals with both positive and negative traits -- they are not cookie cutter stereotypes! They are trying to bring down all the traditional values of Western (dare I say Christian?) culture, for what reasons I can not fathom, and they are doing it by trying to shame people who believe in them and denigrate those values.

I lived through the 60’s onward and the rise of Germaine Greer movement. I never grew up hating men and was lucky to find a decent husband, 51 years married and counting, he has always been a great father to our two girls. As I got older and studied through the OU I wondered why female students were taking Women’s Studies. It seemed to me is preached hate towards men. All men are stupid and deserved ridicule is the mantra. I’ve never agreed with that and hate TV shows that showed men to be idiots. It’s not funny. My husband is not ‘Macho’, he is ordinary, worked hard for us all his working life. He served 12 years in the Royal Navy from the age of 16, so is a Veteran too. I think women who supposedly are ‘feminists’ have totally missed the point and should reeducate themselves without delay.
@Trisjack20

A very thoughtful and enjoyable comment to read. It is a shame that some have damaged the words 'feminist' or 'masculine'. I know some women who are the heart of what a feminist should be. Proud to be a woman and supportive of other women, especially on topics where women need the most support. There are some areas child bearing, the menopause, managing physical situations where you may not be as physically strong as the other people you are interacting with for example. Seeing women who can and will do that to focus the benefits they bring to their contemporaries just is great. What is sad is that so many believe that if they are to claim that title they MUST per force make it competitive, so for women to be treated better men must be treated worse. I think the only person I am in a race with is myself. No one else's happiness makes mine any lesser. No one else's success reduces my success. I hope that as a society those kinds of ideas can take hold I genuinely think it would be for the better if they did.

@@Trisjack20 thank you so much for your enlightening comment. As is said on this channel, women cannot help they don’t have the physical strength of men. It all comes down to confidence and not putting up with bad behaviour. I’m old school I don’t like men being belittled by women or other men. I don’t know why things have gone this way over my lifetime. I think the ‘bully with the biggest mouth’ got the upper hand and nobody fought back, so it’s grown out of all proportion. I don’t know how long it will take to get back to full equality for all, whatever your sex or orientation. Maybe it pie in the sky and it will never happen. We have moved on but got sidetracked by this faux feminism, things are a lot better for everyone, but we still have a long way to go. We all have our ‘moments’ but if we work together we are very effective. I do not like it when men want to identify with women but at the same time threaten a timid woman who cannot cope with mixed wards, toilets and prisons. Wanting to take HRT is farcical, notice they never wish to be pregnant and go through labour. Conversely I wouldn’t want to be a man any day, way or another. You are so right, many let things get out of hand and it’s the rules of the jungle at work. I would sooner work with a man any day than a woman who lacks confidence in herself and makes other women’s lives a misery. In my case I had a women boss who was not married or had a partner so saw me as a target. A male colleague said when I asked him why. He said, she is jealous as i had more than her. I had a long marriage, children and a settled home with lots of friends. If I had said that everyone would have viewed me differently. Hubby and I worked very hard for our marriage, children and home. I don’t like any hatred, misogyny or racism by any gender. I don’t have any answer to remove this problem from our culture and society any time soon.

@@queenie1949 Well thank you for your insight and the hope you provide. In the end we don't control the world but we can control our response to it. I hope with hard work and having a little trust in people I can maintain the happiness of my family and keep my personal commitment to them. It is great to see that some relationships are able to last with people who are mutually looking to help strengthen and support each other. Surely the core of what human society should be all about. Thank you for adding something wholesome and educational to my day.

My sister told me about Jordan Peterson assuming I would hate him. My husband and I both watched him and are now big fans. We're still waiting to see what he says that is controversial. Jordan is intelligent, compassionate and very well spoken. He also comes armed with facts. Somehow this is offensive to people. For the life of me I can't figure out why! I have referred friends to him and everyone loves his work.

Well yeah, psychology is a female-dominated field, so you'll find more women in a psychology lecture

J.P. has an immense honest compassion for his fellow human beings and that's hard to demolish. That is his only agenda , unlike of many others .

I grew up with two brothers and I've always been closer to my dad - I've also been a feminist but the blatant hatred towards men that I've encountered in feminist spaces has always made me very uncomfortable. I understand justified anger towards how men historically have treated women, and justified anger towards abusive men on a personal level. but condemning all men as equally evil and misogynistic is wrong, just like condemning all women as equally evil and misandric is wrong. the men in my life have, for the most part, been great people. after my unaliving attempt in college (due to severe depression), the only people who acted genuinely concerned and supportive were men (my dad, my ex boyfriend) - my female friends all stopped talking to me for a month. I don't agree with everything Jordan Peterson says, but I appreciate and respect his genuine concern for the state of men and boys in our society.
