Ugh Chelsea and Nuovo Testamento are bringing back the 80s like no one else and Kontravoid did such a good job utilizing her voice and blending EBM and Italo Disco with this song. Just wonderful
Cut to Cleanse is one of the most melancholic charged songs, that pulls so much raw emotion out of me, that is the type of art I live for. Also want to make for myself. Its so cool to see this happening in this decade.
I was born 93, however my father raised me on all things 80’s especially the music. And this even has the dance moves returning. This is the closest Ive come to feeling like I live in that era
@@Samael-Occultit was so frustrating to hear or see something I liked and either not be able to find out the name of it - since they'd only show it at the beginning and end of a video, and only sometimes say on the radio - or forget to write it down, or forget before I could write it down, orrrr write it down wrong...
Man I am so excited for the new album. I hear so many artists doing this kind of alternative/EBM/dance/industrial hybrid!! It will be amazing to hear the master himself relase new music!!
If you're not familiar with them yet, check out Chelsey Crowley's main project, Nuovo Testamento. It all sounds like early Madonna/Paula Abdul/Miami Sound Machine with a bit of a darkwave edge.
For a long time, I hoped this colab would happen. I mean felt like it was inevitable. This is beyond anything I could ever imagine. I am blasting this at all of my next dj gigs. Hive, Coffin Club, etc. for the next several months. Thank you both for this wonderful masterpiece
Just came to say that this is what music videos should be. So here for these 80s/90s vibes, reminds of when music videos were still fun to watch. Excellent work by all involved!
This is amazing!!! Love that you made this Freestyle sounding which was the soundtrack to my youth..... Thank you for brining the 80's freestyle vibe back.
Superior work but there's a definite 80's flashback, at the moment, with the synthesizer action as well as its beat. Los Angeles is like its own country, a separation nation from everything else with its own trends, fashions, particular behaviors, and customs so this new album picks up on that sentiment; except, I've never been more impressed by an albums preview. If the entirety sounds as diverse, as well as urban with a Southern California twist, then they will be among the kings of Dark Electro-Industrial/EBM/Dark-wave. Kontravoid always does a fantastic job accounting for every detail, but adding Chelsey Crowley was a winning decision. In the music industry, there's always been a spirited competition between 'The Los Angeles Sound' and Berlin's 'Big-Boys of EBM', but this will give the German's something to ponder over for a while. Congratulations to Kontravoid...... !!!! (I wouldn't mind giving a full review after I've heard the rest of the album.)
I think the one Dancer on this video without a mask with long hair I saw live in Philly dancing during a Madonna tribute with Void Visions and it was incredible.
Luv it! Sounds like modernized late 80s electronic body music, Hi-Nrg, Freestyle blended with Pretty Poison, Expose, Shannon, Madonna, Sam Fox and Company B, but set to a somewhat darker Laura Branigan vibe if Laura would've went full-blown new wave.
Perfect reanactment of obscure 80s vibes. David Lynch, Sandra, Depeche Mode and Kate Bush blended in one postmodernistic and post-post-postironic pulp. Obvious but yet enlightening in it's form. Bisous!
