He gave an interesting perspective on rap music just now: "You want your words to be heard". That's really deep, because even if you're not the best lyricist you can still tell your story and have something meaningful to say. So if I met a Yatchy or one of these mumble rappers I would just ask, "what are your words on these songs saying?" Like what are you hoping to express through your music? I'd be interested to see what they would say since they barely use words in the first place.

However it's hard to say that when we were the same growing up! We didn't wanna hear what the old people were telling us was cool. Nah we had our own sense style, our own preferences, and our own guilty pleasures. As they grow you're gonna catch them start listening to early's 2000 Hip-Hop, then they go into the 90's and so on and thats when they have their awakening to what Hip-Hop really is about.

I'm 14 and we in Germany appreciate Golden Age Hip Hop and Rap more because 1. I'm still bumping that shit cos nothing developed from rap to mumble rap. 2. When you listen to german rappers (not a big fan tho) that are big at the moment, you can tell they are still far more lyrical than u.s mumble rappers. We like REAL rap and hip hop like in the 90s, because in that genre there ain't nothin like mumble rap existing here, its just not a thing... thank god :) So here there are really only two types of rap; German Rap and Old School Rap, but since the youth in germany consist of mainly germans there are also less people that love old school rap, sadly. But still it is better than mumble rap.
