No he did not win the " marketing game" because they wasn't competing on who's the top in the "Marketing Game" plus rappers appearing in commercials and films didn't happen until 10 years after cool and koil moe dee battle LL was a little younger and more commercial so good for him to call him a winner in a rap battle just because he was on tv is not a measure to measure them by but i got down on LLs music and commercial rap
ALSO, in case anybody did not know, KOOL MOE DEE is a College Graduate. He Graduated from Old Westbury in Long Island. I had the privilege of being at a party at Old West and he was there up against the wall just Chilling.
Moe Dee = Rapper, LL = Musician. LL won by tying Ice-T, Hammer, Shan and Moe together like four flies, if it was up to Moe, they'd be going back and forth now for the 47th time.
Y'all niggas be on here lying Kool Moe Dee wasn't better than LL Cool J he wasn't better than Rakim or Big Daddy Kane y'all just be saying this stuff cuz it's old school and I actually used to listen to him as a little boy and I remember when he was the man but I'm not about to sit here in front like niggas wasn't out here better than him the only ones who styles could continue to maintain the Decades of time was LL Cool J and Slick Rick the record of niggas really wasn't hitting on nothing Rakim included oh yeah Kool G Rap definitely Outlast them to
@Don C Nunez You're very clever for pointing that out.. but FR not every rapper today is like that, just the ones in the mainstream. There are skilled, versatile & creative MC's that know how to hold a mic or atleast spit with it.
@@emanatingf Yeah I love the fact that he is Lyrical and has jamming beats. It's good people that like to dance. I laugh at how he dis and no cursing at that. Bad!!!!💋💋 I like this song, Let's Go, Wild Wild West, How You Like Me Now, I Go To Work, This is The Way We Use To Rhyme, and etc.
LL Cool J vs Kool Moe Dee , one of the most underrated rap feuds KMD: How Ya Like Me Now LL: Jack the Ripper KMD: Let’s Go LL: Till Da Break of Dawn KMD: Death Blow All amazing tracks.
LL might've won in terms of how marketable and popular Momma Said Knock You Out became, but Kool Moe Dee's lyricism and rap flow are unparalleled. Dude is absolutely one of the greats.
This has to be one of the hardest diss tracks in hip hop history. When Kool Moe Dee disses you, it's over. Shit, I felt the burn and that song wasn't directed at me. LOL
KMD is arguably the most underrated rapper of all time. Knowledge is King is a poetic masterpiece. It should be taught in schools to demonstrate the use of classic poetic devices which KMD used masterfully. The man was a lyrical genius...unrivaled by any rapper I have ever heard.
Kool Moe Dee, the greatest MC Lyricist to ever pick up a MIC. Often imitated (LL), but never duplicated (LL). He simply destroyed (LL) with those L's, & then asked him one question. "Who's your daddy"?
@@osikanii KMD was a ten year bet bud and KMD resigned because gang rap was growing he didn’t like where that was going so he resigned instead of becoming apart of this sacked generation of rap another thing KMD destroyed every diss ll threw at him the only reason ll got a career after this was because ll was young and had a lot of years left in him
What I find intriguing is that on Rock the Bells, the author fails to mention this song on the list and states that LL Cool J put the nail on the coffin. So in reality 1991 was the year the beef ended with KMD as the victor. Moreover, I see LL Cool J in an interview with a Rock The Bells t-shirt on. Could it be that the history is being covered up as to not show that Kool Moe Dee really hit Todd with the Death Blow? 🤔 I see this song not even having a million views yet, which is quite sad. I was born in 95, and I am binge listening to all of Kool Moe songs right now. Respects to LL Cool J. Kool Moe Dee should definitely get more recognition for his work.
Moe Dee is the true lyrical G.O.A.T. He was absolutely merciless on LL with his wit and intelligence. Nothing but love and respect for LL but Moe Dee destroyed him in their battles.
@@randydaytona5615 u sound stupid LL came out the gate dissing and battling .. so you must be the 99% that hate on niggaz that get woman.. let me guess u a ugly nigga that have problems getting girls..🤣🤣
@@thomasrichardsr.9753 he’s an MTV rapper 😂 man, who else you like, Run DMC? Not even rappers like Todd’s arrogant ass 🤡 And you can chill with the flirting, I don’t get down like that
Nobody wasn’t trying to hear them old ass 70s style from Kool Moe Dee in the 90s. But now it’s all over and done and I’m older listening to this now Kool Moe Dee was really throwing some heavy blows! 😳
nah this is trash! I was a kid then and don't even remember this trash I can't believe this came out in the 90's it definitely sounds crazy and not in a good way -- the 90's is dominated by Tupac, Treach, Nas, DMX, Method Man, LL definitely had hits -- sorry but IMO this hot garbage
@@Z-List-Nation now I don’t feel bad for feeling this way even when I was 10 or 9 when this dropped it didn’t stick with me the way what was out at the time Rakim Kane G Rap etc
To me lets go was the Ali of all rap battles. mo dee is the blue print of battle rap not to mention his vast understanding in knowlege plus mo had a degree in communications.
Me and Kool Moe Dee and I grew up on 129St. and I remember the rap battles in the parks where he slew all the other pretending rappers. Right LL Cool J😂
The man that made me wanna rap for a living. Had a chance to open up for him in a talent show in 1991 in The Bahamas. now im on my way to do just that... Legendary
This is absolutely ruthless. One of the all-time absolute greatest counterattacks in hip-hop. My goodness. Had LL dig his own grave then climb in it and bury himself. No coming back from this one 🥀 lol RIP

@@periechontology Bro, Kool Moe Dee literally pioneered the style that rappers use today, even before Rakim or KRS-One How can his style be dated when it's still used today
