The interesting thing is that in Bionicle canon, the matoran language is supposed to be the programming language of the great beings. I'd like to think that this is similar to what they would actually sound like to our ears.
Then it wouldn't make sense that they have words like "Kanohi" and "Matoran". SHouldn't those words be written differently then, without phonemes that we use?
To me this is what Bionicle voices should be like, it's the most accurate thing I can think of along with the Hordika mask of light animations from 2005 which also spoke in this way
Its more fun, but I don’t think I agree on it being better per say. In canon we know they have a more human sounding language because we know of some of the words already and some of the grammar. And their pronunciations.

Y'know, I'm sure that aside from Kopaka to all the Toa and Matoran to Turaga, I've a pretty certainty that that would be how the Matoran Language is supposed to sound like when spoken.

Nevermind about Kopaka's broken microphone voice, (that sounds like it should of been the turaga of Ko-Koro's voice as he canonically needs at somebody to assist him in translating what he's saying from what I remember.) What about that matoran's voice who Kopaka is having a conversation with?
The Toa Mata had all 6 masks at their disposal, they normally just wore their main mask, but could switch them out for any of the masks on their Suva, by teleporting them which is pretty badass.
@@toalutoriangaming Plus a few more such as the ones the Matoran/Turaga are wearing, or at least in this game. (I'm not very well versed in Bionicle lore, been a while so I've become rusty with it)
If you're thinking of "Bionicle: The Game" where you snowboard down the mountain as Kopaka, that's a different game from 2003 with loose ties to the storyline and it was also released on PC. This was a cancelled action-adventure game from 2001 that covers the 2001 storyline.

The whole point of the original 2001 story is that each Toa went to find their other masks. Kopaka arrived on Mata Nui with his Akaku, yes. But part of his quest was to get his own versions of the other 5 masks. Once he got them all, he could trade in all six masks for a Golden Akaku, which held the powers of all six Kanohi. The golden Akaku was later transformed into the Akaku Nuva.

This is why Makuta Teridax and Takanuva merged into Takutanuva when they fell into it, why Kraata slugs are turned into Rahkshi, and why some beings just get absolutely disintegrated upon touching it. I am literally spelling out the canon Bionicle lore to you. I don't need to explain anything, because anyone who bothers to pay attention to the story would know. Do I need to provide you with a direct link that states that the Golden Kanohi became the Kanohi Nuva, or are you going to just accept the Bionicle lore for what it is?
This sounds terrible. It's like they were going for the grunts of the TT Lego games, but put in way too much. What's wrong with plain English like the movies?
Honestly it’s brilliant, it’s alien and robotic, like what the Matoran would probably sound like. It’s not full voice acted because it’s a game made to sell some toys in 2001, so they just used audio samples to give the characters a voice without actual talking, like the babbling talk from Banjo Kazooie, it’s a fairly common trait in older games.
