NPC Advantages: No requirements. intimidators (tauros, staraptor, arcanine), gardevoir (life dew, synchronize for burns), bellibolt (discharge, light screen), umbreon (thunder wave, synchronize for burns), drifblim (will-o-wisp), sylveon (charm, moonblast), arboliva (seed sower), and dudunsparce (thunder wave) are helpful.
Strategy: optional bulk up. wait for the orb steal. drain punch. wait for your stats to reset. bulk up. taunt. wait for nasty plot to be blocked. terastalize as soon as your orb is charged and the sun has ended. drain punch when you need HP. 3-5 bulk up. Collision course to victory.
Notes: koraidon's ability is detrimental, since it boosts damage from flare blitz. however, the dragon typing more than makes up for this. do not bring koraidon online though, since the sun can get your player allies KO'd. snarl can replace taunt or collision course if you want to debuff infernape's spatk into the negative. swords dance can replace bulk up, which can speed up the run but it's a little riskier during setup. metronome can be used as a held item, since heal cheers don't break the chain, but the time that those cheers waste can negate the benefits, and you're hosted if you get burned 4+ times.
Pros: supereffective tera type matching base type, excellent HP and attack stats. great defense and special defense stats. outspeeds infernape, resists flare blitz and grass knot before terastalizing, resists tera blast, taunt blocks infernape from using nasty plot, bulk up buffs attack 1 stage and defense 1 stage. drain punch and collision course both have 100 accuracy and deal supereffective STAB (tera-boosted when terastalized) damage. drain punch has 75 base power and heals an amount equal to 50% of damage dealt. collision course has a base power of 100 (which gets a 33% boost due to being supereffective). covert cloak prevents burns from flare blitz (normally 10% chance), which would halve koraidon's damage output. Orichalcum Pulse gives +33% to koraidon's attack while the sun is up.
Cons: Orichalcum Pulse causes koraidon to take more damage from flare blitz for the first 5 or so turns of the match.
