I'd imagine you'll still be fine if you're surrounded by trash mobs liked red bars. Plus who knows, there could be some silly damage resist stuff coming in final shape.

In my Opinion , the new support gun or warlock helmet exotic ( healing turret) could help mitigate the nerf. Another good option could be Renewal grasps duskfield grenade on hunter within the well , frost Armor damage resist can help good

He does count. But, it’s only an ~8 -ish% buff so it’s not like it’s a deal breaker

#1 reason why I don't like it. wildly inconsistent needing an endless supply of orbs.

Explosive is a niche perk. Very viable if you're doing some sort of strat that just poops out orbs. Such as goldie chaining (ripped in tfs) or just have lots of Goldies. but outside of niche team reliant setups, it just falls off. Even if you are assuming a 9 el shot (6+3 from well or whatever) that's still vastly inferior to bait over the course of a reserve and even more inferior to the niche scenarios where surrounded is procced.

Blast Radius directly nerfs the impact damage (biggest number of damage on an explosive weapon), and Explosive Light raises that to 100 on orb pickup. Rockets get a 25% buff to direct impact damage on Explosive Light to offset this problem a bit, but GLs only get an additional 60% to the small number (explosive damage) and no buff to impact damage. So no, there is no situation for a GL where Explosive Light is good currently. That is a Rocket exclusive benefit to EL and therefore, directly lowers overall damage on GLs.

@@AWLZooMthe explosive damage is the bigger number though. EL is 60% increase to explosive damage and is still about a 50% increase to overall.

Gls and rockets can also explode on any debris or rubble (like the broken off hood of a brig or even a stray limb of a ad) that gets in your way.
