When it comes to Zombie movies, this is the GOAT! Every aspect of movie making is done perfectly. Story, acting, directing, cinematography, music, Special effects. All perfect. Great reaction.
If you guys liked this, there's an animated prequel to the movie called "Seoul Station." It gives more context as to why the homeless guy knew so much about the outbreak already while the other train passengers were clueless.
Didn't realise you guys had not reviewed this movie yet.. Better late than never! 😂 It's my favourite zombie movie so far (not just because it's Gong Yoo.. ahem!) but because it's not just mindless gore like in some movies. I appreciate that there was an actual storyline. Not matter how many times I've seen it, the little girl's crying at the end always gets to me.
This movie has never failed to make me cry. Every. Single. Time. I watch and I tell myself, "Jay, you've seen this about 20x by now. You've watched many, many reactions. Look, D Nasty and R D Lee are not even tearing up.", ..and then Su-an appears and I immediately start crying........just, on sight. And when we get to the end, you'd think my husband just died, the way I'm wailing like a dying hog. Love the reaction guys!! I'd love to see what you guys make of the masterpiece Goblin and the absolute mind trip that is Strangers From Hell.
Glad you guys got to watch this Classic movie. I remember watching this movie for the 1st time. I cried when the big man( the real hero) was bitten and held back that zombie horde. Which gave his wife and the others enough time to get to safety. When he told his wife the name he'd chosen for their unborn baby, then he told her to leave... 😭 ( the tears wouldn't stop flowing)
The military killing the survivors was actually supposed to be the original ending of the movie before the director decided to change it 😂so you guys are pretty spot on with that.. I guess they decided to changed because it would’ve pissed everybody off so bad
That ending would have been depressing, but I wouldn't have minded it. Every movie doesn't always have to have a happy ending. The Mist is an example of a great movie with a tragic ending that makes it even more memorable even to this day.
Korean zombies are making me more intense to scream Run Bish Run!!! than any Western zombies🤣😂🤣 Korean zombies are fast, super hearing sense and active in daylight. The way they took you to the process of transformation from being human to zombie in their pov is also 🤯 While Western zombies are slow af and mostly laying there with their guts out 😆 P. S. Kingdom series use the same zombie team from this movie, if I'm not mistaken. Zombies in this movie, Kingdom, and All of Us Are Dead used choreography like bone-breaking dance 😁
You guys really need to watch the k-drama ‘Goblin’, absolutely amazing series, equally funny and heartbreaking, with an incredible cast! I think part of what makes this such an amazing zombie movie, is that it focuses on the importance of humanity, empathy and looking out for each other in these kinds of situations, rather than perpetuating the callous ‘it’s them or us’/‘look out for yourself’ mentality that most zombie/apocalypse movies focus on. In the end, it’s the selfless bravery of others that ultimately gets them through, and puts the selfishness of our main character to shame at first, until he begins to realise the error is his ways. And the realistic humanity of the characters that is shown in this film is beautiful. There are no hollywoodised badasses with unlimited ammo, no flaws, and a free pass to do whatever they want, just people trying to survive a terrifying and heartbreaking situation xxx
When "Parasite" was in the theaters, RU-vid recommended "Train To Busan." I HATE Zombie movies, but I was hooked when The Deer got back up. The Roller Caster of Fear, Dread, Anger and Sorrow left me emotionally drained. Kudos to the writer(s), director(s), actors, and especially the stunt performers for creating a Modern Classic.

You know an actor does a damn good job playing the bad guy when you're not sure if you could restrain yourself from decking him if you ever saw him in real life! 😂 I don't think I've ever hated a character more!! 😁👍
Korean movies are on another level. You should definitely check out more because they are so good at story telling with twist and turns that you'll never expect. It makes watching movies exciting again because it's not the recycling of old stuff like in Hollywood.

What sets this movie apart from all zombie movies is that others always have either an ex-soldier who needs to be re-recruited by the government because of an outbreak or the cure, or anything related to regular people serving powerful people and needs to survive the apocalypse. But this- it's just plain, regular people from different walks of life which we can always relate to.
Original script ending, the businessman, pregnant women and little girl makes it to the tunnel and the businessman intentionally lets the other 2 walk ahead and the military accidentally kills them and saves the businessman lol
That evil SOB represented what the father could have become. Great movie. The daughter's acting was insanely good. The movie had one of my favorite characters in a movie (the big guy) and one of my most hated characters.

You're right - if it were an American movie they would have shot the woman and girl at the end. That's what they did (spoiler alert) to the hero of the original Night of the Living Dead movie.
You're absolutely right, its supposed to take place 4 years after the events of this movie. I didnt find it as good as this one, but the prequel Seoul Station is!
If you are look for another confined disaster touching korean movie on par with this one, I would recommend Emergency Declaration (2022) take took place on a plane where a virus outbreak occur and no country want to allow this plane to land on their airport even including their homecountry.
Man if they got shot at the end... you're right. It would have been amazing and terrible. I'm glad they said, "Nah, we have to give them a liiiittle hope after we killed EVERYONE."
13:14 Something I think a lot of zombie/infected shows/movies get wrong is the motivation of the infected. Yeah I know what motivation could zombies have but the answer is simple do they bite to infect or do they bite to feed? If they only bite to infect it makes sense that they bite and move on but if they bite to feed it doesn't make sense for them move on once they bite into prey they should be too busy ripping chunks out to move onto a new target.
if zombie bite to feed, then they would need a functional digestive system for them to stay alive and they would need to poo as well. Then when human tear off zombie intestine, it should works the same as damaging their brain to impaired the zombie as well. So bite to feed doesn't works for zombie, but may be works for vampire.
I believe older zombie movies worked off the idea that a zombies’ motivation would be an insatiable hunger (the craving of brains/flesh), but in recent zombie films or even movies around the time of Resident Evil era, it seems the motivation is clearly to infect. It is more referred to as a “virus” and it’s only goal is to spread, sometimes even the ideas of a mutation in the virus where the “undead” are more aware and even show a form of intelligence in order to more effectively spread the infection.
@@JeusAlprime108Without feeding also creates problems, within a month or two all infected would be severely impaired due to wasting away. Without a functioning digestive system to nourish it's only a waiting game until the body is too malnourished and dehydrated to function unless the infection is magical and keeps them fueled.
@@PercyGrimmR Resident Evil at least initially before all the super powers and craziness functioned off hunger for the zombies, which is why occassionally in 1-3 you would find zombies nomming on each other.
@@redacted1093 that's why in most zombie film, zombie is describe as slowly decay and decomposing corpse where their brain and spinal nerve have been hijacked by the virus to move this decomposing corpse and perhaps such virus also consume whatever bacteria that approach to decompose the body, that's why zombie decomposition process lasts way longer than an actual corpse.

Next to George Romero's original Night Of The Living Dead. This Zombie movie is #2 for me. So damn perfect. And the actor you all love, he's known in this as 'Big Daddy'. Real name Ma Dong-seok. Or his Americanized name Don Lee is a GREAT actor! He was also in the MCU film Eternals as Gilgamesh. And at 37:33, every reaction I have seen of this movie, it's ALL the same when he gets bitten. Hell, I screamed 'NO' when I frist saw this.
40:33 i agree. he's dumb-founded because he was like that only a couple of hours ago. also, when he was trying to get in and the other guy was trying to block him from the other side of the window, around 39:14 it was like some kind of metaphorical reflection or psychological mirror or something, i think 😷 43:40 aight. this, according to chat gpt, is what they call "pump and dump" in stock market pump and dump is to buy some small company's stock for a long period of time and spread the rumor, that this small company has some kinda secret super product or whatever. people start to notice that the stock price goes up everyday and gold rush begins. when this small company actually has no skill nor a good idea for a killer product, the money will be pouring in. at the height of the stock price, those who have started the "pump and dump" commence the "dump" they just sell everything when the stock is at the peak price. the stock price will plummet and everyone who owns the stocks will lose, except those who have started this "pump and dump" operation in south korea, we call it "operation" or "작전". when i heard this man saying "centerpiece of our operation" or "centerpiece of our plan", me and most of south korean people knew exactly what have happened, as the word "작전" or "operation" is such a notorious word in korea. when it comes to english sub-title, i think it wasn't fully explained and left all non-korean audience baffled, i think so, quick re-cap the daddy's working as a stock broker he works for those with enough money to have this "pump and dump" operation at the begining of the movie, he got calls from high up to dump everything he relayed that message to mr. kim, who is his junior staff but remember the news paper article saying something about fish annihilated again? that means, this ys bio tech, which should been bankrupt a long time ago, could manage to continue this stupid research, thanks to this "pump and dump" money. that's somehow they ended up creating zombie virus. mr daddy and mr. kim did just as they're told to do, but what they did was immoral as they will bankrupt hundreds of stock investors. in this movie, the karma has happened as a form of zombie virus, i think 48:13 the conductor has been busy, so he's got no idea how evil this man was, so he just tried to help him out of human nature.
