The Gehlee girl resembles the style and visuals of Ariana Grande and I just searched about UNIS and it is actually a KPOP group? such unique beauty and refreshing to the scene if you ask me.
I was really surprised when Gehlee was accepted. The other Filipina in the group, Elisia, has the beauty that all Asian people like it. Gehlee really stands out as an SE Asian, specifically, even more than Lisa.
@@FANI-NIi think he/she was not able to express it properly. Usually fans thanked people who appreciates their fave group/artist and giving their time to watch it which will then become something like an engagement which can boost their popularity. Something like that.
These filos who keeps on shaming Gehlee for being more fluent in English, this girly literally grew up in an affluent family, and if you haven’t noticed there are so many filipino children born and raised here in the Philippines who also don’t speak a lick of tagalog or filipino and most of them are from rich or middle class families who were raised to only speak in english, but that doesn’t mean they are any less filipino, she can clearly understand and just has a bit of trouble speaking tagalog without an accent. This girly is patriotic and clearly proud of her heritage, she’s very knowledgeable about our country too (wc is a given ik) And Just because she introduced herself in english doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to speak tagalog nor is she ashamed to be filipino
She is the PROUDEST MEMBER on her HERITAGE! That's why she had the most STRONG FANBASE among the other members since UNIVERSE TICKET until NOW. Obviously people prefers the real ones!
They're less Filipino if they don't know how to speak any of the local languages or vernacular, that means they're detached from the society. Quit making excuses. lol
Kudos to Gehlee for emphasizing the meaning of the Philippine flag. Many people who are not familiar with it might misuse it in different circumstances. The flag when the red is on top and blue on the bottom means we're at war and it is really a significant point to make so people who don't know can avoid making those mistakes.
GEHLEEE DANGCAA will always be our "PALANGGA." I love how she explains about the flag! She's been the "proudest" in her heritage since UNIVERSE TICKET until now that she has already made her debut! It's her authenticity that makes her solid, loyal fans very dedicated to supporting her. The fans really recognized who the truest person is!
I hope that the Philippines working with the US and Japan and Australia and ROK can keep China from creating a situation where the Filipino flag must be changed to red on top!!
I think Gehlee is still struggling to understand the conversations in Korea that's why she still cannot go along well with them, for example at 9:57 she seems to not understand the conversation so she didn't pick up the vibe and didn't laugh alongside with them, but yeah those are the tiny bits of things I've noticed, but still huge props to Gehlee for being brave and strong on attending the show despite her early stages of learning Korean language, I sincerely think that Gehlee is doing a great job! ❤
One of the reasons why I, personally, dont want her yet to be invited on some talk shows especially if the conversation is heavily reliant on Korean. In English, she is very well spoken and I love how she answers QnA because she provide depth and meaning to every words she is saying... so I want her to take her time to learn and learn more so that she can incorporate her expressiveness in korean language than watch our Gehlee being bashed to oblivion by knetz and mostly, her international fans.
@@ttokennn34 Yes, Yet his bias stans keep pushing more lines that gonna give Jelly more pressure and chances making mistakes pronouncing Koreans words might create criticism and use it to attack Jelly
@@JPPPPotTs with the line distribution for a song, I am fine with it since it can be memorize throughout the recording session and Gehlee's voice is underrated in my opinion, it has the swag and relaxing vibe on it that I think it would be great if it is utilized properly. Though with interviews, I am just not really satisfied with it 'cuz the struggle she has with korean language is what hinders on the thoughts that she really want to say and I think this is also applicable to Elisia since I notice that with some interviews, she keep on repeating the same phrases but we know that she has a lot to say as well. at the same time, this is just me a simple fan and I just want to prioritize the well being of my idols. I hope for more improvments on their korean language even though they had their hectic schedules.
@@lynabc3826 girl did you really understand my comment? It’s not bad to appreciate other beauties. I love my girls and I just find Gehlee very pretty .
Sometimes I forget that while Gehlee is a Filipina, she grew up accustomed to the English language compared to Tagalog and Filipino words, she kinda reminds me of my nephews, much more fluent in English, and they have an accent when speaking our native language
Honestly they are popular and debut through a show produced by SBS so it makes sense they might get more chances than other groups who debuted under a new and small company
Not their CEO, but the parent company. They only grab the current CEO to manage f&f entertainment but all the money is coming from f&f which is pretty much a corporate monster.
@@fvjxznvueaepd8u still rich tho like😭😭 and the fact that, UNIS is their first and only daughters which will have a sibling boygroup through the same survival show🥲
GEHLEE is radiating "It girl" vibes and not just that she's radiating queen Behavior. A well spoken young women and talented young women. GEHLEE is such an inspiration to young people and to all the woman.
I hope that some people lighten up on Gehlee. Having to go back and forth between 3 languages while explaining things simultaneously is not easy in the slightest, and yet she did it better than most would. Simple errors are bound to happen. None of that implies that she isn’t proud of where she came from or doesn’t represent it well. She’s 16. Give her grace.
You can see how well rounded and well spoken Gehlee is, she has every skills, she's talented and charismatic idol. She's so immerse with everything and she's willing to learn, and that's what I love her, she's a fast learner. She's an inspiration to everyone, young generation, she knows what she's doing, I love her mindset and confidence, which made her so likeable. She's so beautiful as she is. I love the way she's being herself. I love her.
GEHLEE DANGCA HAS A DISTINCT SINGING VOICE THAT THE AUDIENCE/LISTENERS WOULD NOTICE IF HER VOICE IS MISSING OR NOT! WITH HER GOOD QUALITY SINGING VOICE THAT SUITED TO DIFFERENT GENRE OF MUSIC IS GREATLY AN ADVANTAGE TO HER AS A SINGER! WITH THE PROPER VOCAL TRAINING, SHE CAN EXCEEDS HER LIMITS AND BE ONE OF THE TOP FAMOUS SINGERS IN HER GENERATION!
I really prefer her speaking voice and singing voice because of the good quality of it, that suited in different genre of music!
It's not really fun to be perfect, there's no twist, there is no excitement! BOTH of them is not perfect, and that's the reason we love them! They are such a wonderful girls!
Agree with this. Those mistakes are just normal. The important thing is they still made us happy and educated. I focused more on better things that Gehlee and Kotoko did especially having longer conversation in Korean. Looking forward to their next guesting where they can sing and dance because these two also improved a lot starting from UT days.
@@lestercamino6412 Yes, that is really their extra charm aside for visuals and talents that can not be taken from them. And also the reason why we became their fans now, right? High five!
Gehlee you did such a good job on your first show. Your Korean is really improving and I know you will get better and better as you gain more confidence, keep at it girl. It was also nice seeing Kotoko too its really hard not to smile when Ko-chan is talking. I love you both
I agree...most kids her age don't even know what the symbols and colors of our flag represents...and y'all didn't appreciate how she conversed also in korean..its really good
@@rolandolopezcaheles4335 as you can see in her expression, she stares at her own writing, and she realized that she wrote it wrong, she's also an introvert so she's a bit nervous to go back and rearrange everything because she already teach them the other one which is the wrong one🥲🥲

Wow this is the first time since Gehlee appeared in a youtube content since Eightest i guess? Maybe for Kotoko as well? I'm not sure how many cuts they did for this vid, but Gehlee speaks so well! Kotoko is super cute as heck. UNIS Fighting!
Gehlee’s first time. Kotoko went to some radio show and also there another appearance with Hyeonju, Seowon and Elisia. (not aired yet) It’s a good start for Gehlee
Those expensive international schools in the Philippines really pay off. Big advantage for the kids with clear accents and perfect grammar, but they still retain the Filipino tone and good manners.
In japanese, there is "yaeba" meaning double tooth or overlapping tooth. This are fang-like. Japanese considers this as kawaii or cute to the point that the pay for a dental procedure to have it. They called this "finding beauty in imperfection" . Gehlee's teeth doesn't diminish her beauty. But it adds to her beauty's individuality, personality and mystique
At last, Gehlee's first guesting. She' getting better in Korean. I wish I'm as good as Gehlee in Korean. I'm stuck in Hangeul vowel and consonant 101. 😂😅
Why is it such a big deal to "some" Filipinos that Gehlee uses English instead of Tagalog here? If she's more comfortable speaking English, that's what matters. If you've watched her introduction videos, you'll see she's genuinely proud of our culture and country. The point is, she's a Filipina; being one doesn't mean she has to use Tagalog exclusively. If Elisia were in her place, she would likely use English too, as she is fluent and comfortable with it. Also, many international fans are watching them, so using English helps reach a broader audience, whether they are fans or not. Some of you are acting as if English isn't recognized as our second official language in the country.
It's good to see LEEKOT duo❤❤❤ At last, we've seen they speaking longer of korean and without being hesitant.. They've improved a lot. More LEKOT guestings to come😊😊. ❤❤❤UNIS & Everafter❤❤❤
@@Raz-yn8di yes!! Gehko is also a cute ship name(more EverAfters are using this but I'm trying to spread LEEKOT as their ship name) 'cuz whenever they are together, they're always outgoing to each other like yk, a headache to mother Hyeonju to stop them but in a good way😭
Looking back, it was remarkably brave of her (Gehlee) to wear a Philippine sash during her aired audition, showing her bold display of CULTURAL PRIDE in a GLOBAL stage #GEHLEE #ゼリーダンカ #GEHLEEDANGCA #젤리당카
Look at Kotoko’s hair. Its not black. This was before they changed hair color. If this was weeks ago or a month ago, then Geh’s Korean have improved. Imagine her Korean now. 🥰
@@craveracer this is probably weeks ago, Kotoko went home to grieve for her great-grandfather for Ig 3days and then comeback with a black hair color as well as the other members.
@@angelitoaposaga1627 Luh, nagpapakilala yung tao kaya yung tamang term eh "Pangalan".
Haha for specific root word ng pangalan is ngalan which is noun..pangngalan will be "to name or naming something..daming prefix and affixes ng pinoy eh.ewan elem pa ko non.
Finally I saw GEHLEE in this kind of show with just like her other members ♥️ I hope guesting show for her too! Love yah my gehlee pretty girl ♥️ love yah also kotoko ♥️
Exchanges like this are nice. Korea, Japan, and China has the same love-hate cultural relationship between one another as what we have between the Philippines and the US. Even precolonial SEA is heavily influenced by Southern China and Tamil India.
It felt like 4 introverts were locked in a room. 😆 but I was smiling the whole time with their awkwardness, and I learned something today because of them.
actually, gehlee did a small mistake here 10:44. There, she wrote "pangngalan" (noun) instead of "pangalan" (name). Educational nonetheless, so proud of them! edit: the subtitles were using the correct version as well xD
Gehlee isn't really fluent in Tagalog tho, so that's why. She grew up speaking english more, and whenever she's speaking tagalog, she has a noticeable accent. This made me remember about her video with Elisia, where they sang Gehlee's part in tagalog, and she translated it as "ano isip mo saken" instead of "anong tingin mo sakin". Which was really cute and funny 😂
as someone who lived abroad, you really do forget filipino words. i remember i rarely heard or spoke tagalog for so many months or a year i had to adjust again when i met filipinos
@JKable born and raise in PH yet not fluent in tagalog is not something to be proud of. His parents is not a patriotic filipino not to teqch their children tagalog considering that SHE is living in PH
I am proud for kotoko and gehlee they can speak Korean comfortably , good job #UniS for giving #evters a new episode of your life , fighting #UniS 😘😘😘😘 let's fly up high ...
Laking aircon talaga si Gehlee, ano? 😂 I was impressed how she explained the parts of the Philippine flag. Only a few details left, she almost completely explained everything. Although she did a slight mistake when she wrote a sentence. She wrote "Pangngalan" which is the Filipino word for "Noun" instead of "Pangalan". Overall, she did well.
