Being sort of a perfectionist myself, I can understand the frustration of unsatisfying results when you clearly know you could do better. Probably to us mere mortals, his performances were excellent, but to him who ran through the very same choreo thousands times made him notice every micro mistakes he made.

no he didn't actually say that it was not his best works what he actually said was those performances he was not on his best condition if he actually said that it's like saying he's downplaying the performance of the whole group etc. its "condition" people may misunderstand you should have read and undertstand the subtitle properly where he said he didn't like it because he's not feeling well/not on his best condition cuz there are people who gets the wrong idea easily and hates on them :)
