Minhwa means Korean folk painting. Animals, plants and everyday life were main contents of minhwa. It showed lives of the common Korean people. (Korean culture and Information service and Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation Cooperated)
As a child I always wondered why the tigers had such goofy expressions. To which my father answered "You see those pipes? That is what happens when you smoke pipes. Do you want eyes like that? No? Than don't smoke. Tigers are fierce, but not always smart. That is why the magpies are there."
