As an American, I admit American cheese is not the most intriguing flavor. We have a weird history of cheese. Once President Andrew Jackson received a 1,400 pound of cheese as a gift and our government once gave a military surplus of cheese that wouldn’t spoil for over a decade.

literally people around the world agree that "American cheese" is the preferred cheese with certain foods. Maybe you're mistaking "government" cheese for American cheese which is quite disgusting and not even cheese, but the cultured cheese product known around the world as American cheese (a processed form of Cheddar) is highly regarded and tasty.

@@SourBogBubble The staple cheese of a grilled cheese is American cheese, because it's designed to melt. Cheddar doesn't melt as well. I've tried it because I love Cheddar. American works better. Also, the cheese she has in this video isn't actually American cheese. It was some kind of vegan cheese. American would be much softer.
