You have to remember in the west (especially the media) all music from korea is kpop 🤣 epik high? Nell? Sung si kyung? Dean? All kpop to them. So i feel when it comes to kpop we always have to define what ppl mean first when they say 'kpop'
With regards to sweat and body odor, you only get body odor when bacteria mixes with perspiration. Plus your sweat's smell also depends on diet. Koreans generally have a very healthy cuisine - lots of kimchi which has been proven to be beneficial and combats free radicals. So proper hygiene is always important. There's an insidious culture of being judged on appearance (lookism) hence cosmetic surgery is commonplace. This is why I consider myself lucky that I live in a country that places emphasis on achievement.
This is incorrect information because you're implying that you need to be "dirty" to get body odour. While it's true that the odour comes from bacteria, there will ALWAYS be bacteria on your skin. No matter how clean you are there will always be enough to make that smell if you have the genes for it. The difference is that east Asians don't have anywhere near as many sebaceous sweat glands which produce the fatty/proteiny rich sweat that produces the smell. It has nothing to do with cultural diets or personal hygiene.
About k beauty standard I like how they just answered it in a obvious manner and not like some other people who pretend to not like the k beauty standard or pretend like they are against it. Yes there is k beauty standard so what . Take it or leave it.

k pop 좋아하는 한국 사람도 많아요 저렇게 일반화 하면 안될거같은데 감성이 없다니.. 본인들이 발라드나 이런 취향인 사람들은 안듣겠죠 당연히.. 저는 힙합 좋아하고 k pop 도 멜로디 좋은것들은 찾아서 듣는데 .. 저 두분은 뭔가 케이팝은 한 수 아래 음악이라는 좀 거만한 생각이 있으신거 같은데 제발 음악 잘 모르시면서 대표하지마세요.. 원래 10년전만 해도 빌보드만 찾아듣던 사람으로써 요새 kpop 좋은노래 많아요 깜짝 놀랄만큼.. 화가나네요.. kpop 좋아하는 외국인들도 많을텐데 국위선양은 커녕 스스로 이미지 망치는 일은 좀 없어야 하지 않을까요?

Question: Due you think that with rise of kpop and the fact that kpop bands are starting using luxury symbols of statuses, is this creating in the society more and more finer classes within classes, making people different and sowing discord and hatred.
@@JinroToad great to hear... im a fan of yu jae suk and kang gary... very humble and cordial guys... and of course park na rae... both seem natural rather than artifical kindness and both dont showoff. In my country most celebs make twitter posts in english and speak half english half local lang. English has become a symbol of status among other things, that are making us see eachother as different rather than one "family". and ofcourse looking down on others based on these symbols.
많은 와국인들이 간과하는게, 한국은 외모지상주의 뿐만은 아니라는 겁니다. 대학졸업자가 전세계에서 제일 높은 국가중 하나죠. 엄청난 교육열과 학벌주의. 그러니까 종종 한국인에게 '겉모습에만' 집착한다고 까는 외국인들이 있다면, "우린 니네들보다 머릿속도 꽉 채운 사람들이야. 너네가 자유타령만 할 적에." 라고 받아칠 근거가 넘친다는 거지요. (지나친 학벌주의의 부작용은 일단 넘어가고요 ㅎㅎ)
