Learning conjugation in European languages takes months. English has very little conjugation but lots of irregular verbs for past tense: know, knew, not knowed. Korean is definitely much easier, actually trivial.
I’m half Korean so this is important for me, I don’t know when my grandma will come to visit me so I must study harder to not disappoint her and for the sake of my ancestors💀💦
if anyone is struggling with future tense, remember, "geo-ye-yo" (i apologize I don't have Korean on my keyboard). the first syllable "geo" sounds like go, so you're going to in the future tense!
this video helped me a lot. Thank you so much. I think that you are a really good teacher and you can learn so many things in your videos. Thank you so much for making all of us learn
everyone says that asian languages are hard and europeans easy but in reality asian writing is hard with easier grammar while in european languages u have the same alphabet with simmilar words but hell of a grammar (german i am not even side eyeing you i am fully starring in your soul)
Hi, I love your positive energy! You make it seem like learning Korean is pretty easy and nothing to worry about. You are so convincing you should actually come with a spoiler alert clarifying it is not 😅 Keep up the good work and I will be looking forward to your future videos.
I have all these things explained in my students book but and even though they are not hard I did get confused. I'm now watching your video and for 2 mins you explained the present tense vowel logic in such a simple way that it just stuck in my head. THANK YOU SO SO SOOO VERY MUCH!!! PS: do you have the same video but for formal verbs with mnida ending?
What? I'd seen a lot of filipino tutorials on this but yours really more detailed. It came across on my recommendation and you really did well. Thank you seonsaengnim kamsahamnida🙂
I was so focus on the lesson until 7:17 when you lower your voice at "past tense" and I was smitten by you
Why are people in the comments saying that English has no conjugation? I eat I ate I was eating I have been eating I had been eating I will eat I will have been eating etc. 😁
Okay, Im no expert, I might be completely wrong lol, BUT i tought conjugation is when you change a word/add something to a word according to different things? So if you say "You eat" or "You are going to eat" The verb "eat" doesnt change, instead you put words infront of it. Now yes there is, eat, ate, eating, but thats pretty much it, so thats why people say english has only little conjugation. (For example, I speak finnish, which has like 25? 30? Ways to conjugate for pretty much every verb, so it was pretty relieving to hear that english has only a few!😅)
True. Another thing that's weird is when people say English is easy but they speak a broken version of it or can't read a simple book; they just imitate phrases from movies.
@@QuelquefoisFois Haha yeah, English is definetly on the easier side compares to most languages, but learning any language, easy or hard, definetly takes some time lol. (Also definetly depends on your native language! For some english is easier and for some its harder)
So to ride becomes " 타요."? But if you take away the 아 and use only ㅏ in words like pota it still writes like poayo 보ㅏ요the only thing missing is the silent ㅇ so in ny eyes i still see p o a yo why is it made like that? How can I learn when to ignore a whole letter that is still visible there?
I like your videos and the explanations on them, but the only big problem they have, is a lot of jumps between frames. There are a lot of them ! . They are visually breaking the flow of your speech and distub concentration and focus on your explanations. You have this "dynamic effect" in all your videos. By the way: the PDF is never sent. Can you add a direct link please? Thanks
Sorry about that! Please check this link for the PDF guide: www.fluentu.com/blog/korean/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2021/05/korean-verb-conjugation.pdf
듣다 -- 들었어요 (past). Explanation: verbs end in ㄷ like 듣 will be changed from ㄷ to ㄹ. Present form will be changed from 듣 어요 -- 들 어 요. Past form will be changed from 듣었어요 --- 들었어요
How do you know that there’s an “I” in the verbs you’re using when you’re not actually saying the pronoun “I”? Like why is it “I will eat” instead of “we will eat” or “they will eat”?
It's really cute when americans think that conjugation "eat/eats" is different... Try portuguese! We change conjugation for every person in every of our five tenses.
Um, English is a A LOT easier for present tense. You have one choice to make: 1) is it 3rd person singular, or not. You don't have to 1) drop the ta 2) figure out the stem ending 3) figure out whether you need to combine vowel endings 4) figure out the honorific 5) deal with irregular verbs Do "tutda" (to listen)
