@alyazya5627 3 года назад
@@chrisgivestricks1810 She didn't even ask a question in the first place. So you can't say "...is the real question" Also you're not supposed to put a queston mark after question. And that is not a proper sentence. "The real question is, when will you post on youtube?" Is a proper sentence since you're asking. But since she didn't ask from the beginning you can ask like this: "When will you post on youtube?" (Better way): "Hello, hope you're having a great day! May i ask when you're going to post on youtube?"

It's really heartwarming to see males compliment eachother, especially if it's to do with features. I think sometimes we don't realize just how different lifestyles are around the world so for a man to be comfortable enough to say another man is ''cute'' or ''handsome'' is something very special and needs to be normalized. This was a lovely social experiment that should happen a lot more often, join hands in heart.
@AnakinSkywalker909
@AnakinSkywalker909 3 года назад
Sad that most males feel that they can't compliment another man's looks. It's because of all the judgement/hate that gay people have gotten for years. Straight males don't want to feel that hate in any way, so they hold back compliments.

The one thing I noticed is that when a Korean meets an American is that they can drop the formalities. It's almost a sigh of relief for them. If they met some other Korean for the first time they would have to keep the formalities up. Because their society requires them to do so. But with an American they don't have to because he doesn't expect them to be formal. Notice at 3:17 how Yumi touches his shoulder when he says he is so nervous. Bom compares hands with him at 9:40. Would they do that with a Korean man that they just met?

@hannahjeon5087
@hannahjeon5087 2 года назад
Nope, I dont think they would. As a Korean (born in the US though), whenever I meet another Korean I have to be formal because it’s rude to be informal to strangers. Notice how some of the people in the video bowed. Koreans (and probably most Asians) normally bow when meeting a new person- especially someone who is older than you. I think that they became more relaxed when realizing that they’re talking to an American because Americans dont have the same manners as we do. Also, I think Bom compared hands because to Koreans it’s interesting since we dont interact with Americans that much, kinda like meeting an alien. Also (from my experience) Yumi touched his shoulder because it was funny. So thats my explanation. But Im not completely sure about all of this because I was born in the US, but I go to Korea sometimes.

As a black man here from/in America Brooklyn, NY to be exact. I truly understand and agree with him. 2017 I took at that time my 6 & 8 year old daughter and son with me to Japan for a spring break vacation. That was one thing I taught them, when going to someone else country you must respect them, their culture, language, and rules if you can't then never go. I research the do's and don'ts before entering as well as learned and taught my kids basic Japanese words to get by. Turned out to be a wonderful trip and wonderful experience. Watching this made me understand why at one of the parks I was approached by a man that asked to take a picture of my family and I with him as he was from South Korea. They love Americans and are impressed I guess being black also is a plus as well 🤣. I would very much assume they were prepped beforehand, and selected. In Bournemouth, UK we had a lot of English language students from Korea (even Korean churches, supermarkets). Absolutely no trouble at all, polite, clean, hardworking, modern, honest, integrated into the local community. They stayed with local families, went to ridiculously over-priced English schools, and presumably got a short stay visa to do some travelling. Then, after a few years, they refused to come over because it was not an 'authentic' experience, namely, there were too many immigrants, too many arab shops. They also refused to have a non-white teacher as they felt they paid for 'a real British' person, causing employment issues. Then one Korean woman, young student, was unfortunately stabbed in the back, she was walking down a perfectly normal residential road in Charminster at night and had never met the person. As she was dying she described the person as arab. That was pretty much the end of the era of the Korean students in Bournemouth.

This reminds me of a show by a comedian named Vir Das. He told a story of his people meeting a black person for the first time and that the absolute first thing he called out was that he was black. However there was no malice in his observation but curiosity. His family touched his skin and he touched theirs and they touched eachothers hair. They were exploring how different they were and had much pleasure in meeting him. Then gave a banger of a quote that I will most likely fuck up: "If we could openly acknowledge, explore and accept what makes us different, instead of pretending that we're not different while still secretly thinking that we are different, perhaps we can all finally be on the same page and be less.... different."

@@yearsago-kj7kq in Germany abide to laws very strictly, like at the traffic light even when no car is coming you wait till it’s turns green, recycling bin, different trash bags for different recycle. Sundays all shops are close except restaurants. Different types of ‘You - sie,Sie, as well as addressing people. You don’t have to Tip waiters,bus connections is great, they drive even on Sundays it’s depends on where you live too, if you live in rural area it’s bad connection. Driving in Autobahn is super fast and famous here and don’t overtake on the right please, to get driving licenses is very hard. Police security, is good, but they are quite racist, there was this news about German police on a private chat group where they talk about people of another color they unguiltyly arrested them. Ignorant still exist here, be it among people you may know, they like some time compare your skin color to theirs and say if they sunbath they will have like your color for example. You still get starred at too. Idk if it’s bcz of where I live but getting a driving license is a big deal. Cyber bullying is somewhat common and gangs things. The 3 school system, although they cover it, but German has this social class or elitism system. Gymnasium for bright students headed for college, (2) Realschule for the next step down, kids headed for average or better white-collar positions, and (3) Hauptschule for the bottom tier, generally aimed at the trades and blue-collar jobs. When it’s comes to school counseling, Most foreigners will get the 2nd and 3rd variations and the 1st are for mainly very smart and German Born children or rich kinds of the high society.although the good thing is that it’s also easy to switch tracks. High school here is called gymnasium and there is this vocational school for students that what to work easy money and also goes to school like a professional training school called Berufsschule. Schools are free except some universities/college. It’s easily to get cast aside bcz of their mentality, the way they are brought up, straight laced, majority goes to clubs to relieve stress I think. Beers and if you work here, you will notice that they also bring bark snacks/foods to work. If they don’t know you, they won’t talk with you and they don’t want to associate with you they keep their speech short. Fast paced country and perfectionism is common. West Germany and north Germany 🇩🇪 they differ from each other, mainly bcz of history, although they unity as one Germany but there are still some conspiracy. Honestly there are a lot to talk about, but I will stop here. Ps what could you like to here about?

There’s a big difference between Americans who have lived abroad and Americans who have only lived in America. This would be a whole different show most times. He even knows some of the language and is deferential as if he is on their turf. A lot of Americans couldn’t find Korea on a map, honestly.

I mean, in fairness. Most people of all countries don't concern themselves with the geographical locations of other countries that aren't in their immediate vicinity. For example, when Brennen stated that he was from South Carolina, the first response was 'I don't know where that is'. It's a common thing between nations. Everyone wants to say this stuff about American's like they're the only one's guilty of it.

@@crowpotking1100 I think that, nationally speaking, it has a lot to do with an emphasis on identifying with one's state. People are primarily concerned with what happens within their state rather than outside of it. That and just how massive the US is.

@@purplerainbow1995 It's kind of weird. I was introduced to hip hop, that reggae music bounce? (sorry, I'm not quite sure how to describe the music sound), and electronic music in Korea in the early 90s along with hip hop style. I came to America and saw MC Hammer, Kriss Kross, LL, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Naughty by Nature, Tribe Called Quest, Blacksheep, Heavy D, and TLC and I'm not sure if En Vogue falls under that umbrella but I thought they were really cool. It's kind of weird. I'm not even sure how I came across this music in the states since my parents didn't listen to that type of music. I don't know, I guess I kind of took it for granted as it was just music and it was fun and had a style. Strangely it never occurred to me that it might not be mainstream. I grew up watching a lot of black shows and movies and it didn't occur to me until I went to visit movies and when it was my turn to pick movies I was asked why I was watching black movies. It weird in reflection to look back and think about how I just thought it was music and predominantly black people making it never seemed weird to me. I guess TMNT2 just made me think it was all of America. Watching Kid, Moesha, Winslows, Cosby, Martin, growing up with Will Smith. I don't know, maybe it was just me but black people seemed at least equal with the media I consumed. I wonder if my experience was similar for all kids at the time or how pervasive black media was in the mainstream. I will say that Korean music kind of helped make these things familiar to me so music was just music. It's interesting to have an ah-ha moment thinking about a time period that I never do. I just wonder if I would have been sucked towards say a New Kids on the Block/90210 kind of world without that bridge.
