Amazingly phat sounds and incredible complexities in such an innocent looking keyboard whilst at the same time keeping it fairly intuitive. I think more people would have bought into them if they had been advertised better. I just bought one for a little over €500. I love it. One tip that helps to flick quickly through presets and some of the oscillator settings is to put the keyboard into arpeggiator mode first. Then flick through with the encoder.
It is quite a capable synth engine. You can get great analog sounding sounds, FM type of bells and I find it's e-piano samples in conjunction with the tube pretty usable too. Some people swear by it for stage use due to its lightweight and simplicity, all at full size 61 keys. Plus they just brought it back to live with the Neo. Just curious KORG didn't beef it up in terms of capabilities incl. mod matrix slots for that new edition.

Hi! Ich verstehe Dich so, dass Du am liebsten eine Auswahl von bestehenden Single Patches auf die jeweiligen Layers A und B ziehen würdest. So weit ich das überblicke, kann man am Gerät selbst nur eigene Sounds für Layer A und B erstellen und diese dann als ein Layered/Split Patch speichern. Wenn Dich langwieriges Sound Basteln etwas abschreckt, könntest Du einfach einen bestehenden Single Patch wählen, Split aktivieren, wodurch dieser Sound zu Timbre A wird, und dann auf Timbre B ein paar PCM Sounds (Sampler) auf Oscillator 1-3 übereinander schichten. Möglicher Ausweg: Eventuell kann man im King Korg Editor von Sound Tower (soundtower.com/kingkorg/index.html) jeweils einen Single Patch aus der Library in die Timbres ziehen. Ich besitze diese Software aber nicht, und kann es daher nicht verifizieren. (Und seit ich meinen Mac vor ein paar Jahren auf Catalina upgedated habe, läuft der KORG-eigene King Korg Librarian nicht mehr. Auf einem aktuellen Windows PC liefe er noch.)
Du kannst bei einem gelayerten Sound, den Pan-Regler der einzelnen Timbres verstellen, was dann aber jeweils für alle drei Oszillatoren eines Timbres in gleichem Maße gilt. Immerhin aber könntest Du damit mindestens zwei Oszillatoren unterschiedlich im Pan einstellen, wenn auch auf zwei verschiedenen Layers.
