i dont know this artist but he show a kronos in a way mostly people will meet a kronos. the possbilities this keyboard gives you is is endless. good work Akos:))

Great job, it's nice to watch a skilled musician play the Kronos. I've had mine for 10 months and every time I sit down and start messing with the different sounds an hour or two flies by. I'm just learning the keyboards and I know a lot of people might think it's crazy to start out with such an advanced and pricey instrument, but I physically lost the ability to play the guitar, my usual instrument. I traded in all my accumulated guitar gear and came home with a $4000 piece of playable art. I'm always so excited to practice especially when I can have such beautiful sounds. I love it.

This is by far the coolest Kronos demo I've seen. Your improvisations are not overly showy; they sound amazing, and really show the versatility of this instrument.

Hello Akos. I just want to thank you for your great video. It was your demonstration, over a year ago, that helped me consider, and actually get the K at that time - and I'm very happy with my decision. There are so many really great keyboards out there and you did an effective and entertaining presentation of the K's sounds, patterns and capabilities. In the past I've had a Korg M1, M1Rex, (like a T1) O1/Wfd & currently a Trinity TR-Rack & Triton Pro X. (& Poly 800) I am completely blown away by my Kronos X 88. It does everything I want & some things I didn't think were even possible! I've never much liked Korg's acoustic pianos or guitars & often found the drum samples a bit weak, but this is definitely NOT so w/the Kronos! Korg finally got EVERYTHING right w/the Kronos. IMO it's simply the best workstation, currently available. I LOVE IT!!!

Hi, thank you. What you need is called velocity switching in a Combi. You can find the details in Kronos Parameter Guide, page 468: "Velocity Switch: By setting two or more timbres to velocity zones that do not overlap, you can use variations in playing dynamics to play different sounds."

What a coincidence! I didn't much care for the "official" demos & this video was a deciding factor in my purchase as well. (X 88, December 2012) I've always been a "Korg Man" & I've had every 1 of Korg's "flagship" workstations, up to & including the Triton. I hadn't bought anything "BIG"/new, since 2001 & was in desperate need of an upgrade. I considered Yamaha, Roland & almost bought a Kurzweil. Ultimately I stuck w/tradition & got the Kronos. I am NOT disappointed. It's a excellent keyboard!!

Dear Bugra, thank you for your opinion. Yes, the Karma presets - drums and other parts - can be altered in many ways. However, this is a complex system, based on its 'GE'-s (Generated Effects, there are thousands of them in different types and categories). Depending on how you want to use KARMA drums live you may need to change the GEs, or create your own, too. For that an additional editor is needed, called KARMA Kronos Software.

@venkiee Thanks. I wanted to demonstrate the instrument's various capabilities and not myself. The video effects were used just to separate the different moods even better and make the long video less boring. :-) Unfortunately, I don't have the time to create another version.

@claudioagmfilho8 Motif is also a great instrument, indeed. I think we are lucky to have so good keyboards in this age. Finally, the most important is MUSIC - regardless of our tools. Thanks for your comment from a distant city!

Hi Seth, sorry for late reply. Simply, load the factory PCG again for original sounds. You may also set the "Power On Mode" option to "Reset" state, in Global Mode, Basic Setup. (This is explained in Parameter Guide on page 750.)

Amazing demo. Having watched lot of demos about Kronos, this one is absolutely the best. Need to ask something, does the Kronos let you alter the drum parts of Karma presets? I'm very curious about this because I'm planning to use Karma live.

I'm having issues using Kronos as master keyboard with zones. The MIDI out is not respecting the zones I've setup. My other keyboards dont have this particular issue so its really got me baffled.

Great demo! Please help? I've seen a few videos of people accessing multiple instruments at once on their Kronos, how do I do this? So like, soft key hit would be violin, hard stab would be orchestral drums, medium would be piano or some other instrument. PLEASE HELP ME DX I just bought a kronos maybe a week ago and I NEED to do this IMDIEINGPLEASEHELPME

@ntlprt Kábé egy hete ismerkedek a Kronossal. Tény, hogy Korg hangszer révén közelebbi rokonságban áll a TR-rel, mint mondjuk egy Motiffal, de hihetetlenül gazdag, változatos és baromi jól szól. Nagyon szerettem a Trinity szériát meg az Oasyst is, de valahogyan ez jön be a leginkább!

@cfishel15 Thank you. I've tried a Kronos 73 above and I liked it. Haven't seen the others. If you like weighted keys and the portability is important then the 73-key version is a good choice IMHO.

i got a motif xf and unfortunately again no one can beat Yamaha out of the box for organic sounds like guitar and sax and others of the type... seems like this is got great technology a lot of ram but i will steel keep my motif xf8 and wait for the next motif when it comes i am from Brazil in South America - Recife.

@ntlprt Szia, a TR-re azért hasonlít, mert a TR hasonlított erre... :-) Úgy értem, hogy az "OASYS-koncepció" egy régi projekt a Korgnál, és sok előző hangszer fejlesztését abból vezették le. Igazi szintetizátorhangokkal tele van a Kronos, pl. az MS-20, a Polisyx, a MOD-7 (FM-szintézis) mind ilyen. Persze egy ilyen rövid demóban nem lehet mindent megmutatni. Javaslom, hogy próbáld ki a hangszert.

Egyre inkább úgy látom, hogy ez a Kronos-cucc a TR-sorozatból született, tisztán hallom. :-) esetleg a hangminőség és a mintavételek jobbak, de minden kihallatszik a TR-ből. Igazi szintetizátor-hangokat nem hallani sehol, minden az akusztikus hangszerekből jön, nincs egy büdös digitális hang sem, csak ahogy az effektek rontják le az akusztikus hangokat. Nem biztos, hogy megvenném, inkább OASYS!!!!!
