Thank you so much for the compliments and what great questions! The chirps are indeed very quick resonance spikes. Basically, what I did was I created an envelope on the modwave with 0 attack, sustain, or release and a very quick decay. I routed the envelope to the resonance and then programmed it so the envelope would trigger when one of the LFOs set to a random waveform hit a certain threshold. In addition to that, I set the LFO offset to one of my mod knobs so that by turning that knob one direction or the other, I could control how often/how likely it would be that the LFO would actually be able to cross the threshold for the envelope trigger, thus the chirps happen more or less frequently depending on that mod knob. The modwave is a really fun synthesizer when you start to dig in and mess around with the envelope architecture.
