Very cool! Considering this as an option to expand the kit sounds and experiment more with loops for more creative playing. Would LOVE a demo of this - specifically, how to integrate with your e-kit, how to play along with loops, etc. Also curious about how this fits into a recording setup if you are using something like EZDrummer to expand sounds. Thanks!

Hi Guys, what about the pad sensitivity? Is there an issue with this? I red many complains around the web related to the lack of sensitivity if the pads... can someone confirm this?

The stock settings seem fine. We have one set up in the shop and one of the guys owns one and no issues. I am sure you can go in and adjust the sensitivity but since it's worked fine we have never needed to.

I agree it is a lot of fun to play for the first couple of weeks, but after I put approximately 30 hours programming into it, I find it is not intuitive to program your own kits. I am curious if someone has successfully made own samples into what Korg calls ‘instruments‘, for example 8 round robin samples on one pad? That is where this percussion pad really shines: stacking a bunch of similar samples on one pad plus using the cc features on the top 4 pads. It took me a very long time to make custom sounds however, the on line editor Korg provides is not much help. For comparison I can make a whole kit with 2 custom sample sounds on each of the 9 pads and 4 triggers on my Roland SPD SX - Pro in less than an hour. On my MPS 10 it takes me too many hours to create a custom kit.

Good feedback thanks for checking in. Korg should read this and takes it into account for future software updates. I did find it harder than it should have been to make my own custom patch. Had to download the full manual to figure it out. Overall still having fun using it to jam with both at work and at home ( this is Erik ).

the Korg MPS-10 is a Pad with lots of potential, I enjoy playing around with it, but to take it out to my professional gigs, I'll have to wait. I am not willing to sink in 100 hours of programming it for my needs. The Korg editor (to live up to its name) needs to be reworked, someone at Korg needs to get it to do a little more than basic renaming of a kit or dragging a single note sound on a pad, it does not even have basic computer editing keystroke shortcuts. Users need to be able do a LOT more with thise before it can be called an 'editor'. The manual is just a quick start guide and also needs to get deeper into the details, especially pages 26-30. I am in e-mail contact with Korg about it all, but my contact there is sending unspecific general responses, It does not look like he /she is familiar with programming the Korg MPS-10 at all😀@@Edrumcenter

Do you know if a loop that you make can be saved, named and stored?

As far as I know, whatever was recorded in the looper last will be saved when saving the general settings, but loops cannot be stored by themselves (there is no directory on loops) Loops can also assigned to a pad and then stored, but be prepared to spend a lot of time going down some convoluted paths. Speaking just for myself, I am not willing to spend any more time on the MPS-10 with the manual being so minimal and the useless editor. If Korg wants to sell units, they need to write a real manual and rework the editor. Not a single video about editing, sampling , making instruments or anything besides people playing factory data is out as of today, almost 5 months after the MPS-10 got released, which makes me think that no one gets the hang of it. After trying multiple times asking Korg tech support very specific question, there seems to still be no support about the MPS-10, just general apologizing e-mail responses from Korg that this will take a while longer. My hope is that they are working on a detailed manual and a good editor @@Swaglamp69

@@mannykellerand I thought it was just my inability to read the manual properly! Seems like the most obvious thing to fix is a way to save a loop. I find a bunch of things quite annoying and non-intuitive, but love the concept of pads & looper combined.
