Korg PA900 vs Korg PA3X Keyboard Comparison 

Listen folks.... The sound from both keyboards are being fed to a mixer, then into the computer. That's why it sounds so clear. The pa900 speakers are not being used. The settings on the mixer are supposed to be exactly the same. Having said that.... The pa3x does sound a little better, but not by much. Definitely not worth the almost double in cost. The extra features..memory..and board layout are the biggest improvements over the pa900.

Hello, yes, the PA900 sounds very similar to the PA3X as you can hear in the video but its speakers are a lot smaller compared to the PAAS system. If the PA900 was put through larger amplification it would sound amazing!

When PA900 and PA3X are playing, sense of touch of the keyboard the same?

The comparison is completely fair. The speakers in this recording do not come in to it as the sound is recorded directly in order to show the true comparison of the internal sounds/ styles of the instruments. In the real world then yes, the speakers make a difference as they do with all products, but in terms of internal technology and direct comparison then this shows how good the PA900 is in terms of value for money and how good the PA3X is. Both superb instruments!

Why the sounds of my Korg pa900 is not the same as in the tutorials? There are "opaque", "dark". What I need to do? Excuse me my expresions, I don´t speak English. Thanks.

I had owned pa900+pa3x76. If you test them on the same speakers System. You will hear big difference. Korg pa3x has absolutely better sound. Styles very similar but in korg pa3x styles fuller with more instruments. Before I bought both instruments I saw videos on you tube and I thought they are same (only body different) but not!!! Korg pa3x better!!! Sorry about my English It's my second language.

The PAAS system does let you hear external input on internal sounds.

Depend very much if the Pa3X is connected at the some speakers with Pa 900. If not. that is the difference on the sound.

Are we listen from keyboards speakers or from the same PA system???I think we hear the speakers differences and not the keyboards.

Pa3x still gows around 1500€ second hand without the sound system and if you go in a second hand store you will buy it for 1000 with the soundbar system

PA3X takes it big time. The sound is more clear. No wonder that there is a difference in price. Nevertheless, both of them sound pretty good. It's just that pax3 sound engine is more precise.

everything its the same but korg pa3x have ribbon controler beter weighted keys more ram memory up to 512 mb and its look beter than pa900 and thats because its cost more then pa900 so thats what i think i sold my pa3x for 3 days agoo i gonner try pa900 now

Как-то не правильно так сравнивать звуки... Экспрессия разная из-за различной клавиатуры... Из-за этого звуки по разному звучат. И сыграть тоже можно по разному. Чтобы сравнить звуки, нужно пользоваться секвенсором. Чтобы показать тонкие различия, использовать различные примочки, присущие только конкретному синтезатору. И нужно отключать эффекты.

Same sound engine, from a business point Korg has added cheaper parts and manufacturing labour to make it more affordable. Better a quick dollar than sit around and wait for 2. You get for what you paid for.

the thank it pisses me off is why all these arrangers have lean toward eastern music why not rock or 80s synth pop Italy disco.

Big difference in sounds and styles I didn't feel though the difference in the price is notable.

Most sounds haven't evolved, my old keyboard of 20 years ago produce the same sound nothing spectaculair with it, the only improvend in sound I hear is the great Acoustic Guitar

It is around £1500 more for the PA3X which is on average with speakers around £3000 where the PA900 is around £1499

At least the piano sounds are better in the PA 900, but the other patches sounds better in the PA3x

You can hook up a $250.00 keyboard amp that's 75 to 150 watts and the PA900 will sound as good as the PA3X for about $500.00 less... In this economy, that's a plus.....

PA3x use keyboard amplifier , the PA 900 use built in speakers.

PA3X has better gigging sound whereas PA900 has better recording sound.

This is not a fair comparison, speakers are very different and the PA3x are superior, for the money the PA900 is not bad.

Not so good playing. Uninspired and monotone I would say. Sounds are very simular. Copy/paste from one device to another. Little better on pa3x but not worth buying.
