Everyone is hating on his voice..... he sounds fucking great to me. Especially live and after 20 years of straining his voice. Beautiful performance by the whole band.
CHESTER BENNINGTON THE G.O.A.T. ..!!!!! HANDS DOWN THE GREATEST VOICE OF ROCK EVER. DAVIS IS AMAZING AND VERY VERY VERY GOOD. BUT CHESTER BENNINGTON IS BY FAR BETTER. LOVE IT WHEN THEY DONE SONGS TOGETHER. SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING
i liked this song but i was heavily pissed when i commented. taking all of that into account it did not come out badly. i think i may have wanted to state "one to" before saying specify and "of music"before i typed type". the english language is brilliant and full of missunderstandings.
No offense to David Silveria, who is a far better drummer than I've ever been or will probably ever commit to being, but Ray Luzier is a noticeable step up as far as technical abilities live and his studio work is much cleaner. I also love the random little fills and accents he throws in, he just adds a whole new layer they didn't have playing live before. If Ryan could have become the full-time bassist (Which I know would never happen) ... cream factory. Good to hear that they're still rocking it though. I had the chance to see them in 2009 with Luzier, and stupidly chose to sleep all day instead.
Technical skills, maybe. They have different styles so, you could'nt tell for sure. the random drum fills he throws in just mess up the song, it's not meant to be like that. i understand he "has" to put is touch into the sound, but he goes away beyound necessary. remember, SERVE THE SONG
Agreed. Everyone wants to say ray doesn’t have groove but they are just ignorant. He’s all about groove but he’s a different breed of drummer than Dave was. He does add some fills in songs that aren’t original but if the band is happy about it and it freshens up songs for them then great.
@@guitarFAIL I couldn't disagree more. Ray's playing in the bridge part is particularly tasteful and makes it groove much more than the original recording. Then the breakdown hits and he switches to heavy bashing. Serving the song doesn't mean play the simplest part possible that fits. It means play what sounds good.
@@alexk4020 you don't have to drum fill every time. Head said it himself when he rejoined the band, Fieldy said "we've been playing the song all wrong for so long", but i get your point
Saw them last night. They are hands down the best live rock band out there today. Ray Luzier isn't as funky of a drummer as David Silveria was but is much more proficient on all other levels. He's Korn's Neil Peart but more groovy. Korn put on an amazing live performance consistently and seem to just be getting better and better.
@@nirvanalife9463 didn’t know that! But head is the one who always did the live backing vocals till he left... when he came back he’s only done a few songs like ball tongue
Was there live and i've seen a lot of bands live but that struck me deep inside, fucking awesome moment, this video doesn't do justice how gutteral and awesome that sounded.
If JD just did an album of his growling most women on the planet would forever be in his debt, and absolutely this would hit number one !!!! I loves his growls and I could definitely get off on his growls!!!!!most women would!!!
Something takes a part of me Something lost and never seen Everytime I start to believe Something's raped and taken from me... from me Life's got to always be messing with me (You wanna see the light) Can't they chill and let me be free (So do I) Can't I take away all this pain (You wanna see the light) I try to every night all in vain... in vain Sometime I cannot take this place Sometimes it's my life I can't taste Sometimes I cannot feel my face You'll never see me fall from grace Something takes a part of me You and I were meant to be A cheap fuck for me to lay Something takes a part of me Feeling like a freak on a leash (You wanna see the light) Feeling like I have no release (So do I) How many times have I felt diseased (You wanna see the light) Nothing in my life is free... is free Boom na da mmm dum na ema Da boom na da mmm dum na ema GO! So... fight something on the... dum na ema Fight... some things they fight So... something on the ...dum na ema Fight... some things they fight Fight... something on the.dum na ema No... some things they fight Fight... something of the... dum na ema Fight... some things thy fight Part of me... Oh...
just a legendary korn fat song...i hope many will follow. i like their friends in music too....so i hope they grab their guitars and drum sticks again and produce.
I can see why you say that , he doesnt seem really enthusiastic but I mean hes been singing the same songs for about 20 years but I just into this band , I found out about this band because spotify reccommended it to me. Ive been listening to disturbed and system of a down a lot but now im getting into korn I really like there style
The part that starts 2:43... It sounds like he's saying " tampong da da uuh dum dum ehma". "Tampong" is "tampon" in Swedish. Me and a friend call this song "tampong-låten" (the tampon song".
For a legendary vocalist according to the greatest metal singers of all times history books he’s still phenomenal at fifty years old. Anyone thinking he’s going to sounds like he’s in his late twenties to early thirties like he use to is delusional. As we age everything changes.
everyone saying his voice has gone, obvs never seen Korn live, they've always sounded shit live and his voice has always been shakey at best... they're a great live band, but they've never had that full sound of their records
Crøst Dærgön Serj kicked ass in 2018. 2019 was shit ngl. I look forward to seeing them May 22nd. I’ve never listened to korn before so I thought I’d look them up to see what they’re like.
3:12 is where he got his old self back for a moment. the whole song sounded amazing even tho he got older but at 3:12 he channeled his younger self back
Late to the party, I know, but why does everybody expect singers’ voices not to change over the course of his life? His voice got grittier. It doesn’t have the same “sweetness” to it that it once had, but the screaming and growling is better, if anything. Everyone’s voice changes over time.
