Bro, I used to hate Korn. Then when they released their album ISSUES, I was like, ok they're pretty good, then I saw them live at the arrowhead pond in Anaheim in February of 2000, I was blown away, and never turned back. I've now seen the. 26 times and will keep seeing them as long as their around. If they go to a spot where you can go, I'll buy your ticket
Since you're getting into KoЯn, well there's no way around it. Eventually, you'll have to listen to Daddy. It's long. It's painful. Go with it. It's why many KoЯn fans are so grateful for this band and JD. It's one of the reasons he sings so much about depression, anxiety and other issues (which too many of us know).
When I bought Untouchables (It starts with this song) I remember thinking "Is it supposed to sound like this?" and turning up the volume... And then getting destroyed when the rest of the band came in hahaha
Seen them in concert 4 times now and they never disappoint! I've see this song played live several times and it's always amazing. They opened the last concert I saw of them with this song, back in February.
The music video from ‘Black is the soul’ is my favorite one from Korn. The production value, the message and of course one the best songs off of serenity of suffering. I instantly got the meaning of the video and liked how it unfolded.👍
If you're good at keeping the beat but don't want to do the drums you're probably looking to go into the bass. It's really strong in this song so it's probably what you were hearing. The bassist is a big component of keeping everyone on beat and in time, along with the drums. I tried out the bass myself when I was younger, but I didn't have the dedication needed to actually be good.
here to stay will always be one of my favorite korn songs, i’ve been listening to them since i was 6 or 7 and they’re the band that has helped me get through a lot, jonathan puts a lot of emotion into the lyrics he writes and isn’t afraid to show those emotions either. i hope i’ll get to see them live since they’re touring right now!
Wait....did they make an edited version of this video?! The original I remember back in the day looked like this but also had a bunch of cuts to broadcasts of war, brutality, explosions, surgery, etc and then close ups to the kids face and eyes as he watched it all throughout the video. The violence is even reflected in the kids eyes at the beginning instead of the band. Great song. This album was always in my 5 disc cd player at home when I was an angsty high schooler. It still hits today.
I'm from India, and I've been a Korn fan since I was 8 years old, listening with my elder brother. I'm 21 now. My favorite Korn songs, in no particular order: Freak On A Leash, Make Me Bad, Blind, Rotting In Vain, Cold, Harder, Falling Away From Me, Got The Life, Dead Bodies Everywhere, Pretty, Here To Stay, etc. Can we all agree that Korn has a ton of classic songs!?
@@RAHONLYFAM Yeah they're so unique and nake really good music! Even if you're not reacting to anymore of their songs, definitely listen to them in your spare time!
Korn has been my favorite band since the mid 90s. They still are to this day. They came out with their 13th album recently and it's still just as good as it always has been. My favorite three songs Clown Thoughtless Idiosyncrasy
Top Korn songs (my favorite, top 3 is so hard lmao) Note: Your foot tapping is along with the drum beat and just over tempo of the song. 1. This Loss 2. Here To Stay 3. Falling Away From Me 4. Cold 5. Surrender To Failure 6. Got The Life 7. No Place To Hide 8. Good God 9. H@rd3r 10. Darkness Is Revealing 11. Rotting In Vain 12. The Hating 13. Insane 14. Freak on a Leash 15. Divine
Korn “Twisted Transistor” is a must! It slaps on so many levels, but that video…EPIC! I’ll name drop one person…Snoop, you’ll see why. Can’t wait for your reaction 😂💯
Picture summoning the emotion to cry at the top of your lungs every performance over the length of a tour. His vocals are so fucking primal not that the accompanyment doesn't capture the whole feeling.
Nineteen reaction videos for Korn so far.... I think you're almost ready for a reaction to "Daddy." I know I say almost, but it's really up to you. It's not easy to listen to. I used to listen to it ritualistically all the time when I was a teen, but now.... I can't, but still love the song for what it is. Edit: And yes, Korn is still touring. They're going around on tour this year, too.
Hey bro I’ve been ripping through these react videos. You got a genuine perception of music it’s dope. You ain’t gotta post them as reacts, but you already know how dark and cold Korn can be. But there’s a couple songs that’ll trip you out and their true meanings. Justin - off of their 3rd album “Follow the Leader” (a kid named Justin got his dying wish from the Make A Wish foundation to meet Korn. They were so tripped out as to why he wanted to meet them, and the kid was so content with dying. So Jonathan made the song about him.) Pretty- off of the same album “Follow the Leader” (this one is the darkest IMO. Jonathan was an assistant at a morgue at 17-18yrs old. He saw a young girl come in about 11 months old or so, with her legs broken behind her like a rag doll, raped and thrown onto the bathroom floor by her own father. Jonathan says it still fucks with his head to this day.) Daddy- off of their 1st album, self-titled “Korn” (this one is pretty bad, Jonathan was molested by a family friend, and tried telling his parents who never believed him. This song was recorded live in studio, and told the band to keep playing no matter what. Jonathan has a mental breakdown at the end of the song, rather disturbing...) I’ll reiterate, this info is for you or anyone that likes to get the full spectrum of the band and it’s songs/meanings. As dark as it is, the song and their meanings have a twisted beauty to it. Music is art!
This reply is on point. Every song comes from a dark place. Any artist than can take that pain and put it out into the world leaving themselves vulnerable is a credit to the set of grapefruits Jonathan has.
What’s making a rock in this song It is the bass , Drums and guitars and obviously all of these would, but it’s how they wrote the pattern of this song that makes your head rock.Korn was very inspired by rage against machine back in the day.. They wanted their crowds to react how they reacted to rage. Intention was to get people moving and their music which is why you rock with them plus fun fact, they are also heavily influenced by hip-hop which is probably another reason you like them and you don’t even realize it. Huge korn fan 👍🏻
What you're hearing is the high hay cymbal, with the single bass drum, with David's double pedal. Korn uses 7 string rhythm guitar, lead guitar and Fieldy's 5 loose-string/ slap/pluck technique bass guitar. That's east you're hearing.
As a person who's always loved corn when I was a little girl I always thought that because he could hold a note he was like the r&B of alternative and that's what I call him the r&B of alternative because he can hold a note
Repping Jersey. I got to see them live in Camden a few years back. Korn been my favorite artist since high school. My favorite songs are: 1.Love Song 2.I Will Protect You 3. Alone I Break
@@RAHONLYFAM yo, new sub here. I appreciate you man. Just found you the other day, and been loving what I've seen. Keep em going, you been listening to all my favorite songs . Love it. Good job.
Kerns best ever performance was at metallicas Icon awards, they did a cover of metallicas "one" in front of Metallica and it was THE hardest thing ever witnessed. Falling away from me Adidas Probably my favorite three but honestly ,their first 4 albums were masterpieces and I cant really choose
early Korn remains the best..however that song "narcissistic cannibal" grew on me too in later years...great band...them and deftones surely were some of my favorite '90's bands!!!
If you want more Korn, Trash is a song you GOTTA listen to, has an incredibly catchy and explosive chorus which contrasts the rest of the songs subdued nature. Make Me Bad is a close favorite of mine because it’s a more emotional side to them you don’t see a whole lot. I also really enjoy Rotting in Vain, Blind (this song is what made Korn), and if you want a fun but also head banging tune, look no further than Y’all Want A Single
Lmao God damn it. *Opening of the song plays* *someone who doesn't listen to metal*: "Is it supposed to sound like this?" Gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 🤣
Saw Korn at Rocklahoma 2019, they were amazing. Also saw Slipknot in Kansas city last year. Watch Spit it out live 2009 by Slipknot and the live version of korn blind at Woodstock if you want to see epic crowds.
I'm originally from Connecticut grew up listening to rap in the 80's, listen to everything now. Infected rain is also a good band , same label as Jinjer. Mold, black gold, Orphan soul are some of their songs
What you hearing brother is the low end electric bass and the bassist aka fieldy is thumbing the shit out of it in a percussion style and that's his signature
Check out first "Falling away from me", its a crazy song, then "Thoughtless" a masterpiece, finally comes the amazing "Lullaby for a Sadist", thank me later 😁
My daughter is 11 years old, and her favorite korn songs are: Here to stay, Cold and Hey daddy....thank you for your reactions! you do a very good job and I really appreciate the involvement you show. I`m from Romania
Still a little mad about the video choice, but, I guess at least is the song anyway. A couple of dope tracks very underrated are "Seed", "Blame" and "Pretty".
TOP 3 KORN SONGS TO REACT TO Daddy Shoots and Ladders Counting On Me Johnathan Davis also has a solo project you may wanna do a react to when you get the chance. Try his song "What It Is".
I Love this song and I fuck with ALL KoRn!! OG AF!!! If you have done did my time or Somebody Someone... get em done! Maybe not for reactions but Life is Peachy is my favorite album coz it was my first KoRn
Not a too much a fan of Dubstep Korn...there are a few exceptions. But old school Korn has a primal energy to it. Love it! Van's Warped tour and the Encounter videos are fantastic.
Just found you today! Love ur reactions! Keep up the good and hard work. Continue to make videos like this. You should react to Korn - Rotting in Vain. You don't have to it's just my recommendation on something I think you would like I would want to see your reaction. Have a good day/night!
