38 here. I agree with you -- you need to. I've seen them twice. Back in '99. They toured with Rob Zombie. (Zombie opened.) Then back in '15 they toured their first album. Both times were fuckin awesome.

You will cherish the memory! Hope you check it off this year! 42 and have seen them 4 times and JD solo 2 times. I got to take my 14 yr old son to see them 2 yrs ago and both times to see JD, just like his Momma, Korn is also his favorite band. Nothing better than screaming the lyrics while jumping up and down with you kid next to you! One of my all time top favorite memories!

I'm 43 and I've seen Korn probably eight or ten times at least, so I can definitely tell you that you need to see these motherfuckers live! It's too bad you can't see them in their glory days when they still had the original drummer, but they still rock the fuck out live for real! Besides the Cure and Depeche Mode, they are one of my all-time favorite bands along with Fear Factory. But Korn is the only one I have tattooed on my body. Korn kid since day one!

Without the other guys though he would still be stuck in Bako working at his dads gas station. He might be the brains, but he is not the most important member of the band. Munky started playing 7 strings first and had a record deal with a band years before Brian did (even if it was a very average band like L.A.P.D) and J.D is irreplaceable. I'm pretty sure the first band from the KoRn members that ever formed was Ragtyme and they formed in 1987. Ragtyme was sort of an 80s glam rock/metal band from Bakersfield that featured Fieldy on Bass and Brian Welch on guitar.

They use an octaver on them. So you hear the original tuning of the guitar, and you also hear the next octave down from that, a full octave IN ADDITION to the original sound coming out. That's what makes it sound so massive and heavy

Tripped over that and read the comments. I’ve seen them 6 times between 1999 and 2004. and to make it clear. They got technically better over the years. Especially John. But! The roughness and the hunger from the early 2000 years is irreplaceable. They were a different kind of breed. And I’m glad I was there.
