Ikr. Perhals it's BECAUSE of that he speaks softly otherwise. So as to save straining his voice for the music, lol. Or maybe a the years of vocals is catching up.
I just love Jon in general. I think my favorite members of Korn though are Brian and James! They inspired me to start playing guitar when I was a teenager.
@@Cheaps928 nah there are some dumb old mofos out there that swear they are wise but are also the ones who have no knowledge or respect for modern day styles/revolutions and social injustices, man :(
Right, I agree. That is why I generally always lose respect for the nostalgia fans who just say they want Korn to "do meth again" so they can make albums like they used to haha...I hate that sort of attitude, In my opinion Korns albums haven't gotten worse as they have got older.
Jonathan looks so good and sounds so much better now. I mean ebeyone does when there sober...but its just incredible to see how in older interviews the anxiety he had like always playing with his hair and fidgeting....now he seems even more confident and his vocals have been so steonbg the last couple albums
not hard to believe nashville is a killer city only 6 hours from me been there quite a few times, it's weird because when he posts stuff on instagram about snow and stuff it's eerie knowing we're getting the same crap he is.
Kiley Corwin I met him in Franklin (about 20 minutes from Nashville) at a showing of The Fault in Our Stars and it was definitely odd to see a dude in dreads walking around lol
Really cool seeing the entire band in an interview! Great seeing them together and happy. Usually it's single members and those interviews are more stale. Also the interviewer was fantastic.
Great interview. KoRn has been my favorite band now for over 20 years and I love them just as much today as I did the first time I ever heard them back in 1994. So happy for these guys. They deserve the level they're at today. :)
that album is good, i like that idea, mixing nu metal with dubstep.. they were experimenting some new stuff and why not..and you didn't like that album?
Korn live streamed a full concert when Untouchables came out to movie theaters across the country. There was even a mosh pit in front of the screen. \m/
People need to stop going on about getting David back. That shit is old now, Ray is a proper member and has been for years now. I also rate him as a better drummer.
Great interview :-) KORN is my favorite band. First album that I listened to was the Untouchables in the year of 2000 which blown me away and that very moment, I became their die hard fan. Now, I'm 27 and still listening to their Music! keep Rockin KORN!!! I love them as a Musicians and People.
I freaking love them! They are so real and down to earth. I hope to meet KoRn someday! Their music has helped me through so much since they first came out ❤️
On that aspect i also agree. But man i wish aging wouldn’t affect their energy when they perform. Wish i was born in the 80s atleast to see them live back then.
@@Cheaps928 I was born in the early to mid 80s but unfortunately have only seen the live 2 times and both times I saw them have been in the last 3 years...Glad I got to see them live though and hopefully I will see them at least a few more times in the future too.
@@LeadMe2TheBliss and i was born in 96 and i got to see them in 2015 for their 20th anniversary haha oh and it was my first metal concert or in general haha im lucky because around 2015 was around the last time they could perform with a decent amount of energy AND Eddie Hermida from SS did a bit of backing vocals for one or two of their songs because they basically played their first self titled album and it sounds even better! Its on youtube if you wanna check it out
@@Cheaps928 They are still sounding amazing in 2022, they're getting older but they sound amazing live still! Helmet and Evanescence opened up for them and they blew them away, it felt like it was 2002 all over again.
@@LeadMe2TheBliss sounds like Johnnys been making effort, thats good to hear, because from previous live videos ive seen, He has slowly been loosing energy to scream. They are good, but not like they use too, thats all im saying. And im kinda picky about that because i like to feel the music as close as possible as they once were. But that doesnt stop me from not seeing them live again, i sure will, because theyre in my top 10 favorite bands.
THIS IS WHY I LOVE MY GUYS. THEYRE HONEST GENUINE LOVELY FUNNY N THERES NO BULL SHIT FROM THEM. N THEY SHOW THEYRE LOVE N THERE FUCKIN GORRGEOUS. XXXXXXXXXX
I like this interview and the way Korn interact with there fans that last question was pretty good think I'm even more inspired by Korn now I will of been a fan for 20 years in May next year Insane 😂😝🤘😈
Cool to know they use to drive down Beach Blvd with the rest us of mortals. funny to think i was eight going down to the beach and korn driving by all tweeked out lol
I saw korn on this past Friday and holy mother of god, the energy was so good. Everyone was so talented and amazing and Jonathan's voice was so raw live! You could feel all the good energy from the crowd because everyone just forgot about their problems and enjoyed the show it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to!
I can't believe this was done in 2016. New Korn will definitely be in the works to come out any time now! I hope they continue this heavy sound on the future albums. KoRn will always be my fav band
I love watching them sitting together, and its awesome that they left davids name out of the description!! The album is awsome, and this lineup is the best theyve had..
KoRn are one of the greatest bands of all time. Not even just their music, their music is legendary, especially there first 4 albums and this one. The serenity of suffering was a great record as was The Nothing, but as a band they are just straight awesome. KoRn for life 🤘🏼
Now I'm on 9:33, and I've just heard one of the best interview lines in the world - "no microwave songs"! And hearing that in this day and age from a 20+ years old band is just fucking amazing... \m/
10,000 bands have come and gone ...Korn still producing albums better than their first . Respect. Last 3 albums have been KILLER, cd playing in my car ATM
I'm glad Brian has toned down a bit his "enlightment phase" and he's being more himself. Watching him in videos these days is like watching the good ol' Head from "Who then now" but healthier and wiser and also funnier (so better). When he knocked down the mug I remembered the "you knocked down my beer, yes, yes, yes" And man, loved when he said, with irony, what (I assume) we are all thinking about Pirate and Zeppelin names (still doesn't beat "Audio Science" as a name for your kid though).
Rottin in Vain and Everything Falls Apart are really COOL... but when I just listened to "The Hating" for the very first time astonished, AMAZED! that is really something DIFFERENT, different structure, different mood. I LOVE IT so much! you guys managed to somehow reinvent yourself again! I've been following you since "Follow the Leader" and I'm still here! ;)
I'm not sure with y'alls schedule if you'll see this, just know I've loved y'all sense 99. I'm engaged now. your music makes me feel young again. I'm inspired!
They should get Head to do some songs. He's sure got the vocals for it! Listening to Love and Death, I'm flabergasted that they just wasted his talents on guitar all these years (aside from the very occasional backround vocals), lol.
This woman doesn't seem like she knows anything about Korn or even the genera, even Brian questioned it off the Bat lmao. I'm with you Brian, this chic shouldn't be interviewing you guys.
Ray puts flavor on demos of drum machines and does a great disservice to the vibe David created. I'm glad he's quiet. He's a hired gun who's only made their music more stale and formula sounding.
I like the way Brian Welch hairs swinging like the window curtains. I can't stop staring at his bushy Long fluffy radient glossy Matlocs dreads hairs hairs.
24:00 the last question... Jonathan forgot to add that back in the days it was something special to be played on a radio station. Not like today where there a gazillions of stations incl. the online radios and having a song listed somewhere is merely a thing of waiting for the upload to be done. Don`t get me wrong it is still something to be played on any radio ever but it was different back then and today. Like having to buying a CD or the first moment where you could burn your own CDs.
