To clear up some questions: For the EVO portion of their Las Vegas trip, while Korone and Botan were there at the venue in-person, they did not travel next to the cameraman (for security reasons). They mentioned that for most of the EVO footage, they added in their voices afterwards. Judging by their comments during their watchalong of the vlog, they did actually visit these booths and tried to buy merch using Korone English, but the footage and voices here are most likely a reenactment.
Master Chief: "My name is Master Chief. I'm here to finish the fight." Korone: "You are Halo." Master Chief: "My name is Halo and I belong to this dog and lion."
In Japan, I wouldn't say anything, but in America, I would probably engage with them in Japanese. I wouldn't say much, but just let them know how much they've done and how much it meant to me as a person and for the community in general. Nonchalant about it, of course so as not to draw attention, but there's no way I could hold that one in at my own booth.
@@DiggitySlice I made the joke on a movie I watched in the 90's. You can think of whatever you want that makes a joke funny to you. It's gonna be ok bro.
that dude: so i sold my last halo plushie people: to who that dude: those girls with sunglasess and face masks, oddly enough they have tails, and animal ears now that i think about it
I looked up reactions to this on Twitter and a couple of vendors and a couple of EVO announcers were freaking out. It seems the guy doing commentary for the game they watched on the big stage also did commentary for Idol Shoedown.
Just imagine you were there and here the voice and go............no it couldn't be and put it in the back of your head..........Then you see this video and mentally explode xD
I doubt it considering there's lots of people from different countries in there, so voices of a couple of Japanese girls can blend in with a lot of other voices, especially if you're not actively looking for them and your attention is centered elsewhere.
An artist somewhere near Vegas: "Oh my gosh, OH MY GOSH! Korone and Botan visited my booth and showed it on stream! THEY WERE HERE AND LOOKED AT MY MERCH AND KORONE FOUND HER MERCH! I can't believe it!" Botan: "Wait, they don't have me, though..." Artist: *Fades to white anime-style as soul leaves their body*
TBH I'm more worried about the Merch person getting sent a cease and desist by holo corp, Japanese companies are nuts about their IPs, since most of these merchandise are fan produced. or not if the indie games are good indicator.
@@Senorcyborg guess it all depends what kind of perms you have from cover (in this chase), i want to remember that holocure went through the proper channels before they got to be put up on steam, but even that had to not be monetized?
@@Acranify I highly doubt a local artist would've gone through the proper channels to sell their art. i'm not against it since most of my friends work the convention artist alleys. it's just nigh unenforceable, except for Anime Expo where the IP holders were actually in the same building as the artists. they got a bunch of cease and desist stuff. the merch person was lucky the LA holo corp rep, Max didn't come along lol.
@@NSaysSilly No, in this case, it seems it was actually them! They did have staff there with them -- at least a translator -- but he didn't seem to be present during this portion of the walkthrough, which is why Korone spoke to the clerk herself with basic English. (Either that, or the translator was standing aside and letting Korone speak for herself as practice, perhaps.) I would also assume either Korone or Botan was holding the camera in this instance, as if the accompanying staff were holding the camera, there would be too much of a risk of actually catching the talent herself on camera, necessitating blurring/censoring during editing.
@@OsakaLover*shoots your head off* What? It was obvious. It was Korone. Watch, she'll turn red any second now Any second now.... See! Red! No wait that's blood.
EVO'24 become one of greatest EVO year. - Punk become Champion. - Hayao's Hugo in 3S. - MvC collection. - Yovideogames stream on last day of EVO ft the Frog.
@@ShiroganeKaiserKorone can do conversational just fine. She's at the level a little below Subaru. Korone can definitely survive without a TL. She's just not confident and lacks in deep vocabulary but it's enough for a quick tour like this she gets her point across
I'm glad the vendors were polite to them not realizing who they were, and it's nice to know Korone & Botan are Under Night fans. Hope their travel to the States was wonderful!
Sasuga Eigo jouzu dog. Really enjoyed their travel vlog. Glad they got to see so much! Also a bit surprised Korone didn't go for the Sonic or Tails plush lol
So Korone was at EVO? And i only knew this now?? The event was truly blessed that day when she walked in, they just didn't know she was the one true doggo. EVO will hear the unhinged gospel of vtubers, it has been set in motion not just by Korone and Botan but Dokibird as well since she appeared in Brawlpro's livestream of the event. My soul and yubis, always for Korone.
They mentioned that for most of the EVO portion, they weren't actually travelling next to the cameraman (for security reasons), and that they added their voices afterwards. But from their comments during the watchalong, I think they did visit those booths themselves. Botan saying, "Lol, using English to buy stuff", and Korone mentioning, "I really wanted the Cuphead plushie, but they only had that one, and not it's partner" aka They probably did use English to try to buy stuff, but this part of the vlog is most likely just a reenactment of what happened
I'm imagining the staff cosplaying as Korone and Botan while purchasing. Meanwhile, the real ones are just a few meters away, cosplaying as a special forces soldier and a regular girl wearing glasses with mustache.
It's hard to believe they were actually there lol especially when they are talking close to a Hololive stand, Botan and especially Korone's voice are too unique to not bring attention from some fans buying stuffs there lmao I wonder if it was like a virtual thing
The clipper said that the cameraman travelled apart from them for the most part, meaning most filmed footage doesn't have Korone and Botan nearby. This may be one of the exceptions or a re-enactment.
