@Maxiarg it's a well known fact that korone does boxing, which is what spawned korone's "I would destroy you" response to the idea of a real fight. It'd be more surprising if she /hadn't/ punched someone before

Korone seems like the type that could actually get someone to give up just by moving around a lot and showing off how much more energy she has than you.
I especially like how it wasn't just Korone threatening Subaru. Mio and Okayu both responded INSTANTLY that Korone would come out on top, before Korone even said anything herself. Everyone knows who's top dog.
"Sorry, I spoke before I had a fully-formed thought in my head." Subaru speaks before the thought finishes, and for me it's as soon as I start the sentence, whatever thought it was gets unloaded. Weirdly relatable. Depending on what Subaru means by "a belt", she's either a solid contender or not likely to stand much more of a chance than anyone else.
Material arts belts are useless in combat sports with rare exception. So unless she has a belt in Muay Thai or BJJ she gets folded in any serious competition
They usually say that overconfidence is a slow killer, but in this case... yeah, I think Korone would win. I feel like the only other Holomem who might be able to match her is Iroha, who seems to be pretty fit IRL. Also love how Mio and Okayu immediately nope out when the real-life brawl gets mentioned lol
Iroha's a cardio monster so she'd instantly be well above anyone without combat training, fighting wears you out FAST. Matching Korone is a bit far, but she'd probably last the longest of the JP's because they'd all gas out and quit or be dead on their feet. Except maybe Haachama. Haachama has been hitting the gym hard this year, and she excels in pain endurance, I think more than any other Holomem. We've seen her many times screaming in pain yet still holding on and pushing through. So she might be #3, because even if she can't beat Iroha or Korone, she just won't go down. If EN is included it would throw things off because you've got people like Calli in higher weight classes, which can even the odds even despite the skill gap.

I have a strange feeling that Choco-sensei would body most female holo-mem, and maybe a fair amount of da boys. I can't even explain why, there's very little tangible logic to it, at least that I'm consciously aware of enough to put into words. She just seems like she'd absolutely body and I don't know why.

@@trelos7431 I'm not sure can Iroha actually take on Korone. Sure she's the most fit out of all of HoloX, but taking on Korone who being doing kick boxing for years now I don't think so.
Firstly, remember Korone said that she learned boxing to also protect her friends, so as intimidating as she makes herself to be to the other members, she probably doesn't have the heart to punch her friends even in a spar, and secondly, I think it'd be nice if all the Holomems could take up boxing, they'd get good exercise, and the training will probably tire them out, so they can take more breaks, their coach would also probably make sure they get good rest
you've obviously never been in the ring, if you dont take your opponent seriously it's disrespectful and could be potentially dangerous. Korone will absolutely punch them with no hesitation. She will of course keep in mind her strength and test them out first to see how strong they are but she will most likely try to end it as fast as possible and then make sure they're ok afterwards.

My local place specifically teaches self-defense through martial arts, but we were told to never hold back at all because that’s dangerous and to not even test them, just go straight to 100. But our first 2 rules are run away if possible, then it’s fight 100% for immediate incapacitation and the final rule was that if incapacitation is not possible and running was not possible, your last resort is to decapacitate. It’s interesting to know the difference between places that teach fighting techniques. Edit: Forgot context. You’re right, in that case I was told ‘I will hit as hard as you do, if it hurts, ease up your punches.’ And I always warn the same.
You know if what Subaru says about her past of being in school kendo clubs and other "physical" clubs as well as being a manager/trainer at a gym she might actually be the one to actually stand a chance against Korone. I am of course talking about Subaru's IRL past life, that she revealed on stream, and not her character background which is surprisingly similar. Still Cute and ADORABLE! There's another SMOK stream where Subaru reveals she was constantly scolded in her martial arts classes for having too weak of punches. So I think she did all these physical activities, but not very well.
I think if you give either kiara or botan a month to prepare i think they could beat korone. Botan Is just a ball of competence and kiara has bs Germanic strength
I remember hearing a story about Stallone asking his costar in Rocky, who was a professional and real boxer, to try throwing a real punch at him so he could understand what it's like. Stallone apparently woke up in the hospital and the doctor who worked on him thought he had been hit by a car. That's kind of how I imagine Subaru vs. Korone would go down.
That costar was Dolph freaking Lundgren, and it landed Stallone in the ICU. Fun fact: a bunch of robbers broke into a house in Spain, tied up the wife and forced her to give up her jewelries at knife point. But then, as they were ransacking the rest of the house, they stumbled upon a family picture, whereupon they fled the scene in terror. Apparently the house they broke into was Dolph Lundgren's Spanish villa.
Well, she couldn't hit nearly as hard as that simply because Dolph Lundgren was a heavyweight and Korone is nowhere near that. Weight makes a huge difference in boxing, but she'd still destroy the duck easy enough.
I know for the first Rocky, Stallone was asking earnie shavers to punch him so he could see what it's like so he could give a more realistic performance. Shavers is one of the strongest punchers in boxing history. One punch to the gut and Stallone had to go vomit

Subaru really wants to have battle even after utterly demolished in previous debate "battle" hahaha. Going to gym for exercise is good for their health, though sparring with Korone is different case. And for some unplanned zatsudan collab, their stream can goes on to over 2 hours and past midnight with around 35k people watching. SMOK really have the chemistry.
Honestly , i think subaru would be able to hold her ground. Maybe she won't win since she hasn't done it in a while, but not only does she have a martial arts belt, she was also a member of kenpo club back in school iirc. Where they did MMA kind of thing. Altho I think Korone might still win since she's still actively going to the gym.
Probably noel would be a good fight too. Iirc she also did martial arts, let's just ignore these people who said kanata or iroha would stand a chance despite their 0 martial arts training lol. These guys definitely never did any martial arts.

I mean Abroad In Japan did chess boxing recently and won so For the Hololive girls to train and do a tourney doesn't seem that outlandish Many of them do a lot of physical fitness for dancing already

They could do 3D stream with punching bag, actually. And Korone can show them some skills, or maybe teach something. Also, untrained people trying to punch something can be fun. But I'm not sure Cover would like that kind of image for their "idols".

Subaru has been destroyed by Pekora countless times, she gets bullied by her kouhais so much it's become a tradition to bully her (Nene, Polka, etc.), she has been "roped" by Noel and now Korone wants to turn her into a literal punching bag. Poor Shuba, can't catch a break.
