Greetings from Finland. A good sauna relaxes you no matter what kind of stress you have, and you feel really relaxed after the sauna. This song does the same.
Name of the song means literally "to the sauna" and lyrics talk about how after felling trees and working in the forest it is time to go to sauna. And of course (in Korpiklaani fashion) enjoy some sahti (type of beer).
Korpiklaani is very usual band to see in Finnish concerts as warm up band. And they deliver, and lyrics are fun. 😂❤ I personally love good wood burning sauna, electric sauna's are not that good. You meed the moisture of real wood so that you will get real relaxing feeling. Last he said Saunaan perkele it means To sauna goddammit.
Over half a year late, but to correct that, last it was said "halakoja perkele" - firewood, goddammit (rough translation, as the word perkele has a lot more cultural meaning and significance as a traditional, honest Finnish swear word)
Pretty good pronunciation, but in Finnish the emphasis is always on the first syllable. Edit: after the song, perfect pronunciation. It means "To sauna!", and it's about going to sauna and getting wasted.
Amazing! A while ago I commented on Your Turmion Kätilöt -song reaction about my experience, flying with TK and Korpiklaani to Prague. Then I saw Korpiklaani releasing this song/video. Well I thought I'll wait for a while before watching that, because maybe Eric Clark will react to that in a while. It was not a long wait, and well worth it. Thank You very much! By the way, it is much better to go to sauna, as in "Saunaan", than taken to behind the sauna. "Saunan taakse". You don't want to go there... That said, please consider making a visit to Finland. You are very Welcome!
How to pronounce 'sauna', that is the question: "Sauna: Finnish Relaxation in Minnesota". Were you talking about something like these?: "Children Of Bodom - Lookin' Out My Back Door" and "Euge Valovirta - Hellbilly". Good humppa from Finland, and of course in Finnish: "Eläkeläiset - Humppaa Suomesta (Living in America)". A Finnish-American moonshine boy: "Lännen-Jukka - Pontikkapoika". A Finnish drinking song: "Finnish Drinking Song - Juomalaulu". And: "Vloskin Meanwhile in Finland". Greetings to Nashville: "Jussi Raittinen - Nashville - Tennessee (1976)". Music should be a thing of joy: "Piupali Paupali, Piupali Paupali - Pekka Kuusisto en Camerata RCO - Prinsengrachtconcert 2019" and "Hoedown feat J.Karjalainen & Dirk Powell - Piupali Paupali". Ending with: "Kaustislainen viulunsoitto - UNESCO-hakemusvideo / Kaustinen Fiddle Playing UNESCO nomination video". "Frigg - Early Bird (Official Video)", "Vilperin Perikunta - Tervetuloa länteen, Andrej", "pidzej78 Värttinä - Kylä vuotti uutta kuuta" and "Lotta Maija & Saunakonkeli ~ Saunalaulu (Official Music Video)".
Sorry man, I got introduced to them through "Hunting Song" and while there have been some lulls, this particular song reminds me of the joy I first initially had in discovering them.
