Such a shame man, no more Printezis, Spanoulis and such other top players to help Giannis carry this team to the top. Hopefully Greeks develop some more quality young players soon, they're needed. Much love from Serbia.

Unfortunately, the younger athletes don't seem interested in putting in the work and reaching the levels and standards set by the older players. All they care about is partying and drinking. From the u15 to u19 national greek teams, only 2-3 players seem able to take the next step. This tournament seems like it was the last great opportunity for us to get a medal.

@@g_fal5874 Maybe scouting all over Greece should be much larger? I'm sure we can find young kids who do want to put the work in. It seems to me that it's like that in other countries too nowadays.

Greece is not the same, also the clubs in Greece they took a lower level in the last years Panathinaikos and Olympiacos fighting over for bullshits for a small league instead to create friendship and a beautiful league

Plus mid greek teams with no big objectives building all American teams instead of giving some Greek players (even mediocre ones) a chance and then complaining that they can't financially survive.

@@thelastquincy1457 that's wasn't the problem. The problem was the defence. We were losing by 25 or 27 points and in 2 minutes we turned it into a lose by 11 points bcs greece played defence only in the last minutes

@@MmMstr_mpla it's not Itoudis fault only, the psychology played a massive part in it as well. When the opponent sinks all his 3 point while yours bounce of the rim, of course is disheartening. Germany showed passion and hunger, more than Greece... In the end that's that...

It was pretty much a blowout. U cant blame the refs for that loss. The refs are horrible the whole tournament, i agree on that, but they do not help a specific team with the bad calls.

bro I am greek and even though there were a few controversial decisions from the refs, we still couldn't score at all.. We just couldn't score. And the insane performance of the german team didn't do us any favors since they were extremely accurate. I did really hate Schroeder's attitude though.
